> 3 dayAbsolutely love this turntable. Easy to setup and looks amazing in my audio cabinet. I can’t believe that it came with the Ortofon Blue cartridge. Very happy with this purchase.

Greater than one weekThis turntable has met and exceeded my expectations. I am not a complete audiofile like some people I know. Setting it was a bit tricky. I did order the tonearm gram meter to get it dialed in. So that was something I should have done at the time I ordered this. The packaging was great. Delivered day early. My friends who do know equipment said it was a great turntable for the money. And I probably will upgrade the cartridge eventually. I did purchase the record cleaner and that has made a world of difference on the sound. Highly recommend.

09-06-2025Simple to set up RCA/Ground terminals make it easy to integrate into system. No hum running through my amp/speakers The glass platter is beautiful and spins smoothly But the biggest highlight? The sound! Upgrading from an Audio-Technica AT-LP60 and am blown away by the clarity on the RT85 in comparison.

> 3 dayReplacing a Rega Planar 1 that Ive had since around 2011 or 12. The Rega has been good, but has some annoying quirks that prompted me to look for a potential upgrade: weak motor, table spins backwards half the time on start up. Cue lever doesnt work anymore, same with he ant-skate, etc. This blows the Rega away in every regard excepting for the tonearm. However, with the lesser cartridge that came stock on the Rega, the Regas superior tonearm wasnt used to its best advantage and so may be considered irrelevant? The superior cartridge on the Fluance results in audible improvements across the spectrum: wider soundstage, increased depth, significantly more detail, etc. I was sceptical that Id hear much of an improvement, if any, but was I ever wrong! The acrylic platter (no more static from the mat), ability to adjust counter weight and anti-skate (Rega has only one default counter weight setting), adjustable feet for balancing, and a beautiful look makes for an amazing buy. I couldnt be more happy with the Fluance. Hopefully my review will be helpful to others that may be on the fence between this and the Rega Planar 1. Youll get a lot of value with the Fluance and clearly better sound as well.

> 3 dayFirst things first. For what you get this turntable is amazing. The Ortofon blue produces amazing sound. I also have this paired with some Bowers bookshelves though. I really wanted to give the company 1 star over how they handled shipping. Communication was sloppy and I feel like I was lied too about when it shipped. I was not pleased with that. Once I got the turntable and set it up I changed my mind. I let the shipping fiasco slip and focused on the product. It’s amazing. Heavy, well built. The acrylic platter is awesome. Setup is easy, but you will need some tools to ensure it’s done right. Thankfully the cartridge came pre aligned, but the tone arm counterbalance is a little bit off. When I put a scale under the stylus their 1.8 was actually 2.0 for weight. I’d say to invest in a simple scale to make sure the right amount of pressure is being applied to your table. Not a big deal. At this level you should have some knowledge of how to set up a turntable anyways. The setup instructions they provide are good though. All in all it’s a great mid level turntable and more than enough to last for many years to come. I can see why the reviews are so good. I’ll definitely recommend this to others. Just don’t take what they say regarding shipping too seriously.

> 3 dayPurchased as a gift for a family member; assembly was simple and straightforward with no issues, only time will tell for longterm reliability. As for the sound, I could hear no rumble or motor noise, speed accuracy was exact at both 331/3 and 45rpms. The removable headshell would make it easy to swap out phono cartridges if so desired. Many positive reviews for this model in and outside of the Amazon jungle...

> 3 dayI haven’t had a turntable since my Technics direct drive from 40 years ago. When it went bad recently I looked for an upgrade/replacement. I couldn’t be more happy with my choice. I love the acrylic platter, for both function and aesthetics, and the lack of wow and flutter with good sound to noise ratio. The sounds is warm, crisp, detailed and better than I remembered my vinyl from the days of the 70s and 80s. A great value as are all the turntables Fluance offers. Simplistic in design and operation but that adds to the overall enjoyment in my opinion. I’m thoroughly immersed in my vinyl collection again!

> 3 dayUpgraded from an Audio-Technica AT-LP120 Ive had for many years. Going from the AT95E stylus to the Ortofon 2M Blus stylus is very nice! The RT85 is just great value for the money. Running this turntable on a Denon AVR-X3800H pre-out to an Emotiva BasX A3 for the front stage. Recommended!
