Havent used it longer that 10 minutes because Ive only tested them so far but they were not damage and the clamps are pretty self explanitory. Got this for my tortoise.

Great product

This is a really highly quality clamp light. Im NOT a fan of the cheap ones sold these days at the big box stores. This one has ceramic housing (not cheap plastic), a quality cord and..... A switch in the cord. Ive purchased several cheap plastic ones. They do not provide peace of mind if you need to leave them on for days and days. The plastic begins to heat up and the edges get brittle and flake off. This does NOT happen with these ceramic ones. At this price on Amazon($7.33) Id definitely get these over what youll find at the big box stores. Still, I wish these were just a couple bucks cheaper. If you need to buy many, they still add up. But even at this price, its a no-brainer purchase over the cheap ones.

If I could give zero stars I would. The lamp broke as soon as I opened it.
