Only been using it for 3 weeks now but so far it’s far surpassed expectations. Got this as an upgrade for my older Garmin 810. The 810 was still working but power button stopped working and got tired of the extra steps to turn it on. The 1030 plus has a much nicer display, very responsive, easy to read and swipe through screens while riding, and pretty simple to transfer my existing edge 810 profile to the new device. Would wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow serious cyclists.

Excelente, liviano, fácil de usar, se sincroniza perfecto con el iPhone y con el Fenix 6, la batería dura mucho, se ve perfecto con el sol sobre el.

Ive been in the Garmin hiking and biking universe for over a decade with at least ten different units over the years. Several of which I still own and use. As usual Garmin has put out a nice piece of hardware with lots of software loose ends. This one costs too much for me to be a beta tester. Ive returned it. You can catch up on the current state of things on the Garmin Edge 1030 plus forum. Ill continue to follow and buy again if they eventually clean up the things that aggravate me.

Better than expected

I have posted this review in Edge with some extras first, but I think prospective buyers should be aware of a few things.

I like the navigation features.

Washed out Screen on Edge 1030 plus compared to Edge Explorer & Edge 830

I dislike the maps
