It fits over the unit securely, which is pretty much its only function.

Perfect fit for my Garmin Echomap 43DV.

Does its job well, protecting my garmin head unit while stored in my dry box. I dont keep it on while attached to the boat, so Im not sure of the durability and/or security of the cover while driving/underway.
