> 24 hourNice quality packing. USB-C cable is very short. Ex-FAT format performance was very, very slow. Was ready to give up using the drive but formatted with Apple File System (APFS) and happy that fast transfer speeds are now possible with Apple MacBookPro.

> 24 hourI purchased this based on past successes with Glyph as a premium device for which I was willing to pay the extra premium. I used it as a third tier backup for important financial information. Unfortunately it failed shortly after the return deadline. I did not have it encrypted nor password protected so was reluctant to return it to Glyph for an exchange out of concern of data privacy. So I would 1) recommend not purchasing this and 2) with the one that you eventually purchase add protection so that if it fails you can feel comfortable with any return policy.

> 24 hourSuper disappointed in this drive. Worked great for about 7 months. I use a *lot* of portable drives for recording/content capture, and have had experience with a great number of rugged, drives over the years. I expected this one to be relatively bombproof: reliable for transporting in a bag and using on the go. ...But it didnt even survive being placed gently on a desktop, used for an hour, and then placed gently back into a cabinet for seven months. Id avoid this one at all costs.

> 24 hourIve owned this Glyph only for three months but it has been plugged in and unplugged dozens of times, was carted across the globe, loaded and unloaded with data and has not skipped a beat. The USB 3.1, gen 2 is great. The case looks protective and seems to do the job.

> 24 hourNOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 10. The Amazon page says compatible with Windows XP and above. That is NOT accurate. After receiving the hard drive, I found out that I needed to format the BlackBox Plus for Windows. No instructions for Windows 10, not even on their website. It is NOT compatible with Windows 10. I took a chance and plugged it in.The computer never recognized it. Cant format a drive that the computer doesnt even see. I then searched the internet. Other Windows 10 operators had posted the question too. No answers. On the Glyphtech website, I found a users manual for the Black Box (not the PLUS). It was dated December 2013. The BlackBox Plus does not have a users manual, only an info sheet. No instructions on Windows 10 there either. I emailed the company. I got an initial canned response along with a link to frequently asked questions. Well, it is a Saturday. Perhaps Ill hear from them on Monday. That will be too late. Ive already printed the return label and boxed it up. In closing, if the visible quality of this product is this bad I certainly wouldnt spend good money on it. However, I did and now I regret it. Buyer beware.

> 24 hourGlyph is using grey market hard drives inside the enclosure. So either they cover the warranty to make you whole since they bought it grey, or you are out of luck. Why buy a product that wont source its components from proper channels?
