I am not going to write a long book here. I recently moved across the country and we had near,y 120 cardboard boxes to seal with packing tape. I started with good ole Scotch heavy duty packing tape. Overall the Scotch brand is not bad but MANY times it would split almost for no reason while unrolling some...was really a pain. Stuck pretty well though. I then moved on to two different Duck packing tapes....Thought one of them was good..but soon, saw lots of tape was coming undone off the boxes. Bought some Staples brand..MEH. Long story short without a doubt the Gorilla tape had the best mix of strength, NOT splitting, and stayed stuck., May be just a little more expensive than the rest but WELL worth the money...Great stuff!

In the decade since I graduated college, I’ve moved no fewer than 14 times for one reason or another. I’ve also coordinated moves for large library collections. I’ve put tape from the competing brands through its paces and came away with unstuck tape and low expectations. Gorilla truly has a superior product in this tape. It feels thicker than competing tapes and is even harder to cut when unpacking boxes closed with it. Other tapes delaminate in heat, humidity, or if you look at them sideways. This tape held tough for a month in a portable storage pod during a wet, hot Florida summer. Crystal clear material means box labels are legible and protected underneath. I had a tape gun already, but this tape came without a dispenser / cutter device. Designing an upgrade to the typical tape wedge roll cutter would be my only suggestion for improving this product. Why get ripped-off with cheap, thin skimpy packing tape when you can buy this heavy-duty super adhesive and lengthy roll. Ships fast, too—so you’ll get it when you need it. Priced lower, too. It works better and the roll goes a long long way. Forget those other more well-known brands(and the rolls they sell at post office!) and buy Gorilla Tape instead!

We ran out of tape in the process of packing. We ended up getting this because we wanted higher quality tape to make sure our boxes didnt come open while in transit. The old tape mostly held, but probably wouldnt have held up for another day or so. This tape is fantastic, and was just as solid when it arrived as when i put it on. We have a kitty (Rocky) who loves to chew on exposed tape. With this, he was unable to find any that ripped off! :)

Surprisingly less more adhesive than regular tape. The tape is thicker than regular tape at least.
