[Green] Colored 10G SFP+ DAC Cable - Twinax SFP Cable for Ubiquiti UniFi Devices, 0.3-Meter(1ft)

Great SFP+ 10 gig cable. I use it to connect a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro to a 48 port POE switch via SFP+ ports. Links right up at 10 gigs and has been flawless. I like the green color, as it stands out against the rest of my network wiring color scheme.

I cant actually testify to the quality as this didnt end up working for the purpose I wanted it for, which is my fault for not making sure first, but from the looks of it, and the fit and all... I think it seems to be very good quality for the money and Id definitely use them again.

So far so good! I have used these on Lucent / Alcatel as well as on Cisco and they performed very well. I like that they come in colors so when I am done with my POC its very easy to trace my cables through the sea of black or blue. All in all extremely happy with this purchase and will be buying these from now on as needed for any installs.

Unfortunately connecting UDM Pro to Unifi Gen 2 POE 24 port switch connected and reported 10G but ran speedtest and barely got 500mb. switched back to standard copper ports and back to 940mb. bummer

Frees up a network port on the UBNT switch. Connects the 2 switches. The other port has a SFP to standard data port. Connects switches to my Security gateway. Nice and clean looking.

Works like a charm with ubiquiti 48 port switch

This is connecting my SAN to a SAN controller. It has served me well 4 months in.

Update: It turns out the original DAC I received was defective. The vendor reached out and resolved the issue quickly. The new cable performs as expected. 5 stars for a company that backs their product! ————————- Original review below: This 2 meter DAC cable presents “OEM” as the vendor. Legit 10GTek shows up as “10GTek”. I would be willing to look past this if it weren’t for the terrible network performance. This cable yields 60Mbps (out of the 10,000 rating) using iperf. I validated this result with Speedtest and Fast and got the same result. Swapping DAC cables with a legit 10GTek cable gives me the expected speeds 984 Mbps symmetrical to the Internet (AT&T GigaPower) and 9925 Mbps between switches using iperf. I hope this review helps you make an unbiased informed purchasing decision.

Im using this short DAC to connect a US-24 and USW-Aggregation switch together. That is, a 1gb SFP with a 10gb SFP+ port. The two switches were able to auto-negotiate the connection just fine and I did not have to manually go into the settings to force the link speed to 1gbps. I however wished this cable was 1ft or 0.3 meter.
