Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2019 - Old Version

I bought this primarily to make greeting cards, including some that become a base for scrapbook additions. There does not seem to be a way to measure anything or set the size of anything in the program; e.g. you cant size something to a specific # of issues, or see how anything lines up for measured spacing on a card. Options on what to make are not very flexible. BEWARE - THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. They publish some limited hours of availability, but they dont actually answer the phone. Online help is not really very helpful.

Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2019 does include many very nice premade cards. It is made by Nova Development who also makes Print Artist, and most likely, other card programs. Nova development tried to make it consumer friendly but, in doing so, they removed simplicity. For example, I tried to use a template for a label to make a gift certificate because it was the right size. It would not let me print it unless I added a name and address from my address book. (I do not use and address book in my computer.) To complete my project, I had to copy everything and paste it in MS Word.

ITS BEEN 2 HRS AND 45 MINUTES OF TRYING TO LOAD THIS SOFTWARE ON MY COMPATIBLE COMPUTER. HALLMARK HAS GONE BACKWARDS WITH THEIR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT.

This is the third greeting card software program that I have used. In each case I have had to buy a new one because Windows updated and my program was no longer compatible. I never bought this companys software as I suspected the clipart would not be my style, and so far that seems true, but I think I can work with it. This program doesnt do some of the things my former program would, but it does do some things that the old one wouldnt. It appears that other companies arent bothering to update for Windows 10 -- yet anyway. Since Hallmark is a well known company, maybe they will see me through future Windows updates. I intentionally bought the version that could be downloaded on my computer, rather than used via the internet, and Im glad I was able to figure out which version that was, as there are so many versions to choose among that it was a challenge.

I had an old Hallmark Card program that was no longer viable with Windows 10.

Can not save or save as any cards while running on desktop with Windows 10 without getting an error message. Very disappointed. Reinstalled and tried other versions but somehow none work. Windows 10 running on Lenovo computer runs all other software fine.

I have a much older version where you had to use the disc to use it. This newer version is a work in progress for me. Very different from the old and in my opinion harder to use but it has way, way much more to offer. I’m still on the learning curve and am enjoying my work so far
