Purchased after getting the pink fleece swaddle so that we could have an extra however it became our nap swaddle because it didnt have a double zipper like the pink one did so getting her in and out in the middle of the night was annoying. It did help us transition our 3 month old from being swaddled with arms in to using more as a sleep sack with arms out. Would recommend if thats your plan of action to transition.

Id give this a 5 star review if not for the zipper separating from the top down after only a handful of uses. Id blame it on the wash, but Ive always laundered the sleep sack inside out and with the zipper closed.

This works great for swaddling. We started with swaddling the hands in and now we swaddle the arms out. My son loves to and keep some nice and warm. Great quality and product. This velcro works great. Highly recommend

This sleep sack was delivered the next day. It is very soft and comfortable and well made. My little one loves it.

This material of halo swaddle is arguably the best because it doesn’t stretch! The Velcro doesn’t get warped like the cotton one does. When my 1 month old startles she’s quickly calmed down again because of the snug and unstretching material. My only 2 complaints are the lack of a duel zipper which is a pain to have to lock the zipper into place every time with a sleepy, squirmy newborn and the amount of fabric. These swaddles always have too much fabric that rides up on the baby’s face. For $30+ these swaddles could be better.

Cons: soft fabric= warm. Our LO runs hot - so we have to be careful about no socks or mittens and a short sleeve onesie or he over heats. Velcros- always triggers his startle reflex when I we have to open it. And isn’t strong enough to hold down his hands which he fights to his face every time. If you LO doesn’t struggle to have hands up by his face, you live in the cold, then this is a soft option, easier than transitional swaddle IMO

Back in 2012 I had my first daughter and I had quite a few HALO SleepSacks for her, but she hated being swaddled! Our son was born in 2015 and we had one swaddle for him, but he was indifferent toward it. He didnt seem to hate being swaddled, but he also didnt need it to sleep well. We welcomed our 2nd daughter this June and she absolutely loves being swaddled, but since our other 2 children didnt use their swaddles I hadnt purchased any for this little one because I thought it would be a waste of money! The nurses blanket-swaddled her while we were in the hospital, but upon arriving home I was too paranoid to blanket-swaddle her for bedtime because I was paranoid that it would somehow come undone and pose a suffocation risk. I put her down for sleep unswaddled and she was terribly restless and kept waking herself with her startle reflex. Desperate for some sleep and wanting her to be well-rested, too, I ordered a HALO SleepSack in the newborn size through Amazon and chose same-day shipping. We both slept wonderfully that night and have done so since. She is now 13 weeks-old and we still swaddle, but we do so with one arm out and we will soon be transitioning to swaddling with both arms out, in case she attempts to roll in her sleep (we havent had that issue so far). I highly recommend this swaddle. I have checked out other brands in stores and it seems to me that the HALO SleepSack is definitely the best there is.

I used the Halo sleep sack with my son and loved it so much now I am using it with my daughter. The Velcro option is nice because it gives you the ability to swaddle the arms but aides with the transition to a traditional sleep sack by having the option to swaddle both, one, or neither arm. She is a winter baby in a very snowy, cold place. She has stayed plenty warm with a onesie, fleece Jammie’s, and this swaddle. It is very easy to use. As my husband says, “I can even do it.” I would definitely recommend.
