Its 2 small pieces of plywood, 4 screws and 4 thin felt pads. The materials dont cost much, but the design would be difficult to replicate at home. My example did not have perfectly aligned transitions or matching veneer grain, but is acceptable at this price point. The stand functions as intended, with a few caveats. Your headphones may grip the sides of the stand requiring you to put your cocktail down and use both hands to lift them off. You might be cautious, leave space between the stand and your glowing vacuum tube.

I have had several headphone stands over the years but this one is by the best. It looks beautiful and it nicely holds the headphone securely. The woods is beautiful and it is well made. Worth the price. I have purchased a second one!
