> 24 hourIve read all of the 1-star reviews stating overheating problems and running really slow and my skepticism was correct. Unfortunately, the reason why its a decent price is the sponsorship from McAfee non-antivirus. Its a bunch of bull, Windows defender will do the same thing for free without compromising performance. McAfee comes preinstalled running in the background using all your memory to collect data for advertising and eventually will harass you to pay for a subscription. Fortunately, however, it can be removed easily by going in to control panel>Uninstall programs right-clicking and uninstalling. After that, you have a really nice pc for a decent price.

Thrifty Shopper
> 24 hourJust recieved it. Fresh out the box, its sleek. Light weight and slim but has a nice sized screen. Upon turning it on, theres a computer voice walking you through setup (wireless, windows setup). NOTE: This computer DOES NOT come with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc). I decline McAfee antivirus... I personally think that software jacks up your computer on purpose in order to get you to upgrade their software. Thats just me. Anyway, so far so good. This laptop is nice! It only had Microsoft edge so I downloaded Chrome as my internet browser. It took one second and I was browsing the net. Its super fast. I cant speak to the battery life because I just started using it but Im incredibly happy with this buy. If anything changes Ill edit this comment but so far so good.

> 24 hourWhat a piece of crap. We were just buying this as a cheapie computer to get us by till we could afford a much better one. Cheap is the right term. This is the worst computer Ive ever owned. We got a notebook computer a year ago for 150 that performs better than this. Just spend the extra money and get something good, or apparently downgrade and get something cheaper. This is the last HP we buy.

> 24 hourAfter 2 weeks of having it i can say you get what u paid for, literally you must carry its battery everywhere since it runs low pretty quickly after a full charge. the screen isn’t very bright but its ok. The keyboard is a bit challenging to get used it to since it ain’t backlit and its numeric keypad is an unnecessary addition which makes the whole keyboard very confusing to get your finger familiarized ( specially transitioning from a mac’s keyboard style) The whole laptop bodys material feels a bit cheap plastic but lightweight overall. it might not have an intel processor but its still capable of carrying out simple basic-multimedia tasks and school stuff.. the fan might get a bit loud during a prolonged period while running basic apps ( like itunes) but so far so good

> 24 hourFor the price point you really can not argue. A couple of things that COULD be a bit better, fans tend to be a little loud, screen quality is not great, and the keyboard is not back lit. However it runs most programs, multitasks web pages and even plays a few older games okay.

> 24 hourIts a nice entry level laptop and is budget friendly much better than a chromebook or similar device for just a bit more money. It handles all basic office/school duties and can even play some games its not gonna run AAA titles but older games that dont demand alot of graphics juice. Minecraft, roblox etc run nicely one it.

> 24 hourLaptops have certainly evolved in the wake of the watershed introduction of the MacBook Air. The race to make a compact and light windows variat has went hand in hand with Microsofts evolution of the Windows OS. The one thing Apple was never going to answer with is a sub $500 laptop. This created a market if PC makers could leverage. It was a slow evolution as makers like Asus were able to answer with so-called Ultrabooks. They looked good were compact yet were lacking overall and a big part of it was due to the less refined Windows OS (it was vastly more compatible with internal components and suffered). Now, as of mid-2020 Windows 10 has matured into a truly great OS and that may be one of the best features of this bargain laptop. You get a full Windows 10 Home OS.
