Super powerful CPU at a sweet spot for a price. After reviewing CPU chart on Toms hardware, I purchased the core I512600K because its extremely fast and costs $100 to $200 less than comparable CPUs. I upgraded from a Intel core I5 9400 CPU and there was absolutely no comparison. This CPU smokes. Overall, Im very happy with the purchase.

DOES NOT COME WITH A COOLER, YOU CANNOT USE IT WITHOUT ONE. So frustrating, every CPU Ive ever bought comes with a cooler.

The single core speed for this chip is insane. About 20% increase. As you may know, this chip has hybrid architecture. 6 “Performance” Cores and 4 “Efficient” Cores. The top 12900K has 8 Performance 8 Efficient Cores. The 12900K is way hot, and intel souped this processor up to barely beat the Ryzen 5950x but with a lot more heat generated. Keep in mind the 5950 is $799 compared to $579, but Intels is way more inefficient and hot.

For those wanting to build a home PC that will do whatever you want, this is it. The I5 12th gen is more powerful than you will need unless you are a hardcore, professional gamer. This CPU will allow you game without issue for 99% of people and also allow graphics editing and design. It is a lot cheaper than the other 12th gen Intel CPUs so it is fully worth the purchase.

This is one of the best CPU for gaming and it’s deemed one of the best performance wise. It’s also worth the money spent on it one of the best for casual gaming being able to run 180 FPS on games such as COD (as long as the gpu is good as well) When installing however ensure you purchase thermal paste before proceeding to remove or install the CPU. There’s a metal piece on the side of where the CPU sits in make sure you lift up before trying to getting the CPU out. But all around this is good for how much you’re paying just be careful as it’s very fragile and one drop may make it’s no longer usable.
