> 3 dayI have been building desktop computers for the past 22 years, and this is the first processor I have had such horrible luck getting to work. I have tried this in 3 motherboards, swapped RAM, video cards, power supplies, monitors, and HDMI cables. I have even returned and replaced the CPU. Nothing has gotten me to a POST screen, much less allowed me to access the UEFI/BIOS, until I borrowed a GT 1030, which is UEFI and Secure Boot compliant. Socket 1700 motherboards are shipping with CSM disabled and Secure Boot enabled. Unless your video card is compliant, you will not see a POST screen or a UEFI/BIOS menu.

> 3 dayThis processor is amazing in that for significantly less price than previous years you can have the same processing power. I upgraded a 6 year old processor -- the last upgrade to basically fully replacing my pc-- with no issues, and easily was able to recognize the Windows code, and had no issues swapping. Overall, the Processor preforms great, has no issues, and is able to effectively handle my needs in photo editing, video editing, and gaming.

> 3 dayHave one in my build for over a week and it works great, does not overheat with most FPS games i play and is powerful enough.

> 3 dayAwesome cpu, best from all intels which I had (2700,3750,6700,7700,8700,9900,10700,10850) and with price 200$ no competitors.

> 3 dayIt will offer better value for gaming/every day PC compare to the 12700k especially since most games are GPU dependent. It works well for Windows 11, easy overclocking, and haven’t experiencing any bottlenecks with everyday pc apps.

> 3 dayPSA: do not buy if you want to overclock and you plan on using Intel XTU on windows 10! Intel has dropped support for XTU on windows 10 for the 12th and 13th gen models, which i did not know at the time of purchase. Regardless, you may not even need to overclock this processor, it handles games, video editing, and large processing workloads well! I have been enjoying Intels P/E core technology a lot, my background tasks running nominally, while my games and workloads execute smoothly. Amazing processor for its price, but its definitely not the fastest. You should buy this as an in-between when building a new computer or when upgrading chipsets, etc.

Greater than one weekRuns Msfs 2020 without any problems. Settings are on High with some on ultra. Mines water cooled so the temps are in the mid to upper 50s.

> 3 dayAt this price point you will get a massive value , and this is the first intel processor that came with the unprecedented new performance hybrid architecture, processors offer a unique combination of Performance and Efficient-cores , which is a pretty good deal for this price!

> 3 daySo basically i got it installed on my msi-z690 with the artic freezer 280 and did a clean windows install. I then let windows run all its updates and after the first reset the system would not open any programs or allow me to click IE to download drivers for my amd vega 64. luckly i had my laptop to usb the software safemoded the install and bingo everything so far is fast and amazing and im in intel heaven and my i7-7700k is in intel recycle bin. I cant believe how much cpu % is being used on this like in games the i7-7700k was about 79% but this i5 is at 28-33 % for wow/ffxiv/horzion dawn zero/gtav like im blown away. I also did not disable the e cores so have obs/yt and itunes up and at times a netflix show or anime i feel literally zero input lag with the core temp of 40ish so yes this is so much better then anything i have. Thanks intel. Also im not sure why its consider budget gaming cpu as this thing is outclassing high end cpus... just saying.
