Intel Core i5-9600K Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 4.6 GHz Turbo unlocked LGA1151 300 Series 95W

Paired this with a Gigabyte AORUS Elite m/b, set the BIOS per reviews and it has been running at 5.0 gHz since day one (around 2 months so far). Cant seem to get it to run Prime 95 without a core stopping but after having an Intel tech work with me on their own tests, we could not duplicate the core stopping issue. I think this is an issue with Prime95 and not the CPU. It has not crashed a single time and runs solidly at 5.0 with Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15). Gaming mostly in World of Tanks and Far Cry 5 currently.

The cpu aimed squarely at gamers who need a budget, no cpu better at its price range and cpus that are worth 100s of dollars more struggle make this CPU even a shadow. After a low overclock the i5 9600K competes with I9s and Ryzen 9s. This isn’t a mere CPU at a cheap cost, this is a god at an incredible cheap cost. Especially with intels amazing work of stabilization on all their CPUs, allowing for an excessive overclock with little work. This cpu will fly into the next generation a fully functioning work horse that will be useable for many more years of computer gaming.

Clocks well! Nice and fast even with an Intel stock fan it runs at about 36°C approximately 90°F.

Good cpu for building an entry based machine. If your planning to game @1080p on ultra with a good graphics card, this a great way to meet in the middle with cpus. Not too many core, not too little (6 cores) and a clock speed of 3.7 ghz. Great value for the money.

4.8GHz stable isn’t too far off from what I’ve been seeing most other people getting.
