Better deal than big box retailers

We live in a heavily populated deer area and while I love them to visit our yard, I dont like them to eat my pretty annuals before they even bloom. I read that Irish Spring soap is a deterrent if you cut the bars into cubes and stake them next to your flowers. These were super easy to cut into cubes without them flaking or breaking and soft enough to stake and stay on the wooden spikes. So far, our deer have enjoyed the rest of our yard and have left my small flower area alone. 3 years Ive waited to see my annuals bloom and hoping this will be the year!

WE GUYS like the small and the texture and the cleanliness of IRISH SPRING. 8 of us live here and YES there are other soaps available, but none are so popular and in demand as Irish Spring.

I wish this soap was a favorite as its truly more than I need for my bathing needs. After reading an article that mice are repelled by the scent of Irish Spring soap, I hit Amazon & ordered. Living in my house for 13 years, wed had mice troubles for a couple years as evidenced in the basement & some of bath kitchen cabinets. {{{{{ shudder }}}}} We used a variety of traps & mouse poison & we killed some but not enough. 2yrs ago the problem became increasingly worse as I caught one stealthly dragging a dog biscuit across the countertop, disapeared into my oven and when I opened the door he sprang out AT me! Eeeeekk! I did kill a bunch with traps & dessicant feeding stations but one kept tearing off insulation from my dishwashers exterior & trying to build a nest in the adjacent drawer. Yuck! The mouse chewed through dishwasher wiring, a tube for water causing water to leak enough water to drip into my basement, chewed wires in the doors of my garaged cars - al lk of this costing me over $700. When I read of the Irish Spring scent aversion, i took several bars of Irish Spring & sawed them in thirds. I placed thirds in my cars, next to the garage doors, in my kitchen cabinets, throughout the basement, on the basement stairs. I had already used the expanding foam Great Stuff in any openings in which the critters could have gained extrance. So the holes filled, use of dessicant feeding station & liberal Irish Spring placement, I hope I have rid the darn mouse parties!

My favorite scent and bath bar!

Irish spring smells amazing and just makes me feel cleaner than some of the traditional liquid soaps. my only knock is the bar tends to absorb water and fall apart 75% through the use and i have to just throw away the last bit of the bar.
