KAVU Rope Bag - Sling Pack for Hiking, Camping, and Commuting

This bag was great for vacation. It has more room and storage to it than it appears. Definitely a must have when traveling!

Its now been three years since I got this bag and it still looks brand new. Three international vacations, a five month study abroad, and countless hiking trips later and its survived it all. I really cant rave enough about this bag-- its small enough throw across the shoulder without being too heavy while also being big enough to carry exactly what you need for light snacks, water, papers, and even little books. The strap is super durable and the bag has so many pockets to organize the smaller items like your wallet, lip balm, pens. The small pocket on the inside of the large zipper is probably the greatest aspect of using it for travel. Fits a passport and other important documents with ease while also keeping it in a safe place from prying hands.

It came in very new and was in a really good condition. Not to mention, it came really fast too (I opted for the express international shipping, really worth the money). The bag really is as good as it was advertised to be. Its sturdy and the inside is spacious enough for me to dump all of my necessities in without much difficulty (500ml bottle, umbrella, a 500 page book, long wallet yada yada yada). Its really good for travelling and those who prefer to carry light when they go out and about. Its compact, feels snug on the back and its very easy to access (just sling the bag to your front and voila, you can reach all of the different compartments without having to remove the bag from your body). I find this last feature especially useful in crowded places because I like to be able to see my bag in front of me and know that it is safe from intruders, if you know what I mean. Overall, I am really satisfied with my Kavu rope bag. Might be getting myself another one soooooooooooooooon~ But just a note of precaution to the people who are considering to buy this - the colours of the bag as shown in the pictures does not 100% reflect the actual colour of the bag in real life (I bought the Gold one thinking that it was gonna be in a darker shade but it turned out to be a teeeeeeny bit brighter than what I originally had in mind T________T BUT OH WELL~ Its all good now).

I have a 7 year old and a 6 month old. I got this bag b/c I hate shoulder bags/purses and was hoping to be more of a minimalist with baby 2. I put wipes, 2-3 diapers, and a couple of other baby essentials in one side. The other side easily fits a big wallet and cosmetic bag. I can get snacks and a small water bottle in it as well. I can easily access my wallet, phone, and keys without taking it off- I just swing it around to my front. I have an iphone 6 and it fits in the front pouch perfectly. It came on time and with no trouble. This is a great sling and very comfortable.

Comfortable to carry.

yes they are overpriced for what they are. yes they are trendy right now. but who doesnt want some climbing rope as a strap? and the size seems to fit day trips out and about quite well. My kids especially love taking theirs on field trips (at least my two girls do; I havent yet seen the boy/man Kavu. lol). Ill knock them a star for charging us so much when this could easily be a $40 product, not $50, but I also understand they are there to make money. My review is here to capture my opinion despite there need to make money. They can take a one star deduction on my cost-benefit analysis. Theyll survive. Its still a great product, despite the price.

I have narrow shoulders so It’s always been difficult to carry a shoulder bag. They always fall off. This design keeps it close to my body and doesn’t fall off.

This is THE most Comfortable bag I have ever owned! The strap never bothers my neck or my shoulder which is the problem I had with every other bag that I have owned. It also doesn’t leave a big old sweat patch on my back. It’s quite breathable This is actually my second bag. I loved my first one so much that I decided to get another one. They are very durable and washable,. The only reason I even got a second one is because over time the color of the canvas material faded and I needed a more presentable looking one but the old one still very good to use.

Love this bag. Needed a small backpack to ride bike to work. Holds just enough for me. Wallet, badge, smaller purse items will be about all you can fit in here. The print is actually better in person. Sort of a desert pallet camouflage. Would buy another one in a different color just for fun.
