I have used some other solder, probably from China and have to say the it simply didnt have the right composition (sometimes cold or weak solder joints). In contrary, I been using Kester for many years and had always the desired results. So, I switched back to Kester.

After having great disappointment from buying those cheap Chinese brands solders. I decided that I would get a reputable brand even though it is more expensive but you get what you pay for. A high-grade solder that will improve your soldering technique.

Well, my 1980s spool of Radio Shack solder is just about used up. About four wraps left. Time for a new roll. This product is what you would expect for the price you pay. It isnt cheap, but you get what you pay for. Kester is known for a quality product and that is what you get. Since the old spool of Radio Shack solder lasted so many years, I expect I will have to put this roll of Kester in my will. The kids will probably fight over it.
