Its a crossbody bag with zippers on all the external pockets. That means her things wont fall out and are less likely to get snitched. All together, there are four zippered pockets counting the main compartment, plus two gusseted pockets for phone or lunch card on the inside. Theres a separate wristlet, too, just right for pocket money or school supplies. The colors are pretty and the unicorn and rainbows pattern is just right for young girls. The shoulder is made of strong webbing and is adjustable. The hardware is sturdy. The material is waterproof. A nice step up from a backpack.
