It stopped retracting so I extended it all the way while checking to see if any dirt had got in there. No dirt but when it was fully extended the tape measure came out, there was nothing attaching it to the housing, and theres no way itll get back in there. p to that point is seemed a nice tape measure. I am back using my old measuring tape which Ive had for 10 years and cost less than half the price of this one at the local hardware store.

Does what it suppose to do and for a very cheap price! A+

inecxpensive and good

I purchased this tape measure earlier this year before I started a few home improvement projects. Recently I was on my step ladder in the garage, hanging up a pegboard backer for my garden tools, when the tape slipped off my pocket clip & fell to the ground from about 3-4 ft. When I went to use it again the end hook was bent backwards. Now, part of the reason I bought this tape measure was because of the product description, & I quote Protected End Hook:

love it only thing is the rivets for the claw got loose after 2 uses love it anyway

Its a tape measure what can I say. I like the white stands out really well.

Excellent measuring tape with fraction increments. Easy to read and very well constructed to take abuse from the work environment.
