K&W 402508 Trans-X Posi Trac Limited Slip Gear Oil Additive - 7 Fl Oz

This trans-x limited slip additive works very, very well in place of factory additives/modifiers. I had put this fluid in my 04 Chevy Express 3500 with the big ole 14 bolt rear end, and all the chattering that was going on was taken care of after throwing this stuff in during a fluid change. Its very well priced and seems to work just as well as comparable OEM fluids.

Application: 1982 Mazda pickup (manual transmission) that was hard to shift from first to second when cold. This more sllippery gear oil has improved the ease of shifting. The hard-to-shift-when-cold probllem was long standing and had been cured before with a similar product. In my last transmission oil change, the mechanic did not add a limited slip gear oil, and the problem came back. Adding this oil to the tranny resolved the problem.

Used it with Mobil One synthetic on my 2016 Challenger and it finally quieted the beast down....

Many vehicles need this, check if your project requires it. I use it when necessary and it is a great additive.

not sure if it was this or the drives haft adjustment that quieted the howl?

I had to replace all of the side gears, spider gears and clutch packs in my 8.8 Ford Trak-Lok. On opening the box I was worried about this products validity, as it did not smell like a rotting half dead cats peed in the box. The stuff from Ford typically does smell wicked awful. I went ahead and used it to soak the clutch plates ahead of time, and then added the rest of the tube to the gear oil as it went into the differential housing. It seems to work fine, the rearend has not chirped, clunked or barked a tire since.

This stuff works!!!, My rear diff. in my 04 gmc yukon 5.3 L had a whinning sound when making sharp turns, I had the fluid in the pumpkin replaced a few days ago and it was still making the whining noise going into a sharp turn so i picked this stuff up at a auto parts store in my area , i had not heard about this stuff prior to buying it, but wanted to give it a try at only 8 bucks a tube, so i added some to the fill hole on the rear diff and drove about 20 miles to mix the additive with the rear diff fluid, well and i also went into a parking lot and made some sharp turns and presto noooo more noise!!!! im a happy camper!! I wanted to give this stuff 5 stars because im that impressed, but i`ll see how long it holds up.

Diff sounds good

I only got to put half in and it worked on a thumping differential
