LED Keeper® - LED Holiday Light Set Repair Tool

I received this yesterday. After reviewing the instructions I was able to repair a strand of lights within 20-25 minutes. The repair of next 5 strands went much quicker. Well worth the money to salvage lights, otherwise theyd of went in the trash.

I wasnt sure if it would work with icicle light sets but it does. It works, is easy to use and is worth the money spent. This is one time saving multi tool that I never knew I needed.

I see some very critical reviews of this tool. I personally did not run into any problems mentioned. In the course of about 30 minutes I was able to repair 6 strings of led lights, saving them from the landfill. Looking forward to fixing the remaining strings I have laying around.

If you love to decorate with lots of lights for the Holidays, this tool is not a good to have but a MUST to have. I had two sets of net lights that went out. Only portions of the net would light up so i didnt want to replace the entire set nor did i want to test each light one at a time on the section that was not lit. I decided to order this after reading the reviews and watching the demo video. I was somewhat skeptical at how easy the video made it look to repair the burnt out LED lights but i decide to try it anyway. WOW!!! It took me less than 10 mins to fix both nets. This exceeded my expectations and more. I was so impressed i bought the incandescent companion the Light Keeper Pro, cant wait to fix one of my twinkling light ball ornament that also needs to be fixed.

Overall this is a must have if you have led Christmas lights. Super easy to use. Lots of great YouTube videos on how to use. The only reason I gave 4stars instead of 5, is the manual does not mention how to use the fuse and lamp tester. After watching a YT video, I quickly understood how to use the device. I super quickly fixed a string of lights.

At first it was uh-oh...then Wow - I repaired all 4 sets of string lights within 15 minutes. All sets were identical with identical symptoms, that is half the string didnt light. My first string, after following the instructions, I placed the tool in the midsection of the failed half and pulled the trigger. Per the instructions, one side should light while the other side remains dark...but in my case both ends lit up! After checking the instructions and their website, there was no mention of what to do in my case...I almost gave up until I decided to just check the fuses in the power plug and noticed one of the fuses was loose. After pushing the loose fuse back into place, the light worked! Second string: I checked the fuse but they looked fine. So I tried the tool, and this time I was able to follow the instructions as one side did not light, and was able to pinpoint the faulty LED. Actually the LED itself was fine, it was just loose from its socket. Third string: The fuses were fine, and just like the 2nd string I was able to pinpoint the loose LED. Fourth string: This time the faulty LED had its connectors twisted in such a way that it missed the connection to the socket contacts. Simply straightening out the LED wire connectors with my fingernail fixed it. The tool probably saved me at least 3 hours of frustrating work trying to check every bulb!

I bought a bunch of Noma lights a couple years back and when I checked them this year, I found about 5 strings were only half lit. This product was super easy to narrow down which light was bad and I just popped a replacement bulb in. Very happy I tried this product.

Year after year we have tons of icicle lights that all of a sudden won’t work after being stored. After years of purchasing new sets and wasting so much money we decide to try this and it is so helpful. We were able to save about 80% of the strands that weren’t lighting up by pinpointing dead bulbs and replacing them. It’s tedious work but worth it.

I was going bonkers last weekend because of the 11 light strands we use during Christmas, 6 of them had a section out. I googled fixing Christmas lights and thankfully this product came up. I watched one of the videos the company has and decided to give this a try. There certainly is a bit of a learning curve (watch the videos!), but I was able to fix four of the strands tonight until I ran out of replacement bulbs (a fifth one randomly started working again). I accidentally tore the entire housing off of the first strand because the bulb was stuck, so put one of the pods on and it lit right up! I went to our backyard, which has a different kind of lights, and I had to fix at least three bulbs, which took a while. But the strand eventually worked again! On these strands, the wires were wound very tightly, so it was hard to fit the keeper in sometimes, but I was able to unwind the wires after pulling on them a bit. Thankfully, I found the bulb on the fourth strand very quickly, probably also because I had some good practice under my belt at this time. I saved about $100 in new Christmas lights by getting the LED Keeper!
