> 24 hourThis was a fun set to build. When I saw they were releasing this, it was a set I was instantly interested. Picked it up in the Lego Store on Black Friday (first day available). It is a 24 bag set. Instructions are good, but it can be a little difficult sometimes, just because there is a lot of black pieces. Luckily they try to put a little red outline around the blocks that was involved on that page, because they blend in easily with the existing pieces. It took about a week to build, working half an hour to an hour a night. My only real disappointment was it is not built for the minifigs. It is scaled a little bigger that them, so the characters are more for the theme. The minifigs do look great, but even if they werent a little too small to fit in the seats, Batman couldnt sit down because of the cape. It looks great and cant wait to find a place to display it.

> 24 hourIm only two bags in of 24 and its awesome. The effort and detail they put into making this a true representation of the 89 films style is outlined in the start of the 400+ page manual. Its going to take some time and Im going to love it.

> 24 hourHonest Lego Review: Style: I find the building kit to work for any Batman fan that is aged Preteen-Adult range. Flaws: It is the most pieces over 3000, that we have ever attempted to complete and should set some time aside to dedicate to its assembly. Not a convertible model, once it is built, well you cant do much of anything besides place it on your bookshelf or somewhere else to display. Overall, I recommend this Lego set because it really is an awesome large model. My son has a couple different batman mobiles but none at this scale. He loves the color black, you will see a lot of that color over a good period of time. My son is very patient and loves building, so this was an excellent set for him to dedicate his focus and time (instead of wasting time playing video games). Thanks so much for taking the time to read this review. I hope the information that Ive provided makes your decision a little easier.

> 24 hourI was mostly disappointed with this build. I used to build the large Star Wars lego sets with my son (as models) and those were pretty solid. This build is just plain fragile. Countless times while building pieces that were put on earlier on the build fell off while trying to connect other pieces. In many cases you then have to take a couple of steps back to reconnect because they are inside tight spaces. Even once fully completed parts tend to fall off as you move it around. While one could argue it is because it is being moved I dont believe this to be the case. A lot of the pieces are literally held on in odd places by one or two studs and fall off just by putting the model on a table or dusting it off. In some places there is reinforcement in place but many of the exterior pieces do not have this. Given the stability of the SW sets I was greatly disappointed. More reinforcement would have been helpful here. In some places a shape is built using small pieces when a custom brick would have been better. In other places custom bricks are used, it is a mismatch of logic. The instructions were OK but there are several places where it is unclear how far a piece should connect to another piece (or even where) given all the same shaded colors. Blowouts would have been helpful here to clarify where pieces should be placed. Overall I like the model itself but it is probably the most fragile piece in my collection. Fortunately it sits on a shelf and will not be moved often but when it is I expect to have to put little pieces back on, if I can remember where they go.
