> 24 hourI am was born in the late 60s so while I wasnt around when it first aired on TV, I grew up watching The Flintstones. Its definitely a favorite from my childhood. This is probably the most excited Ive ever been for a Lego set. The nostalgic feelings that I had for this when I first saw it were practically overwhelming. The Lego Company has done a great job of turning Fred and Wilma and their home into Lego building blocks. The set includes mini figs of Fred, Wilma, Barney, and Betty. Of course, I would love to have seen a Dino mini fig or Pebbles and Bam Bam, but its atypical of Lego to include all the characters. The set was pretty easy to build. My 18 year old daughter helped me and we finished in less than an hour. Now I wonder if we could get a Gilligans Island set next?

> 24 hourI grew up watching the Flintstones and always enjoyed the show. When LEGO announced this set, I was excited but not quite sure if I wanted to get it. Now that Ive built it, I couldnt be happier. It is just so unique and different from the other sets that Ive built, and Ive built quite a few. Some folks are upset/disappointed that Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm, and Dino arent included. I do wish that Dino was included, but Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm didnt show up until the end of the third season and beginning of the fourth. So, I dont think its too out of line not to have them in it. The set starts off with building the car, and it doesnt take that long and looks super cool with the cloth top. Its a great way to begin the build. The middle of the build is typical but didnt really have me all that excited. Near the end, though, as the house really started to take shape and the little details got added (like art on the wall, the bowling gear, and the plants out front). Once the roof went on, it just gelled and I was super happy with how it was turning out. The build is not difficult, either. They rate it as 10+, but Im not sure a kid would have to be that old to do it. Its pretty straight forward, and I dont remember any steps that had me guessing at all (some sets give me pause at times, but this one never did). Honestly, I love it. Absolutely love it. Well, okay - I dont love that there is no locking piece for the two swinging halves on the back side of the house floor...but I can always add one, so no biggie. The overall design is awesome, and it truly does have good playability for younger kids. At the list price of $60, its also under the rule-of-thumb pricing of 10 cents/piece, so its not a bad value. Definitely on my list of recommended sets.

> 24 hourFirst of all, the fact that Lego made a Flintstone set is a wonderful thing in itself -- it was the idea of an outside person, so youd think that would send a message about what the public wants. Second, my young children were as happy as I was to see this set. So much for research and demographics. They know who The Flintstones are and they are young. They put it together. I could not have been more pleased. The detail is marvelous. Every time I look at it, I feel a little more happy. Many thanks to whoever pushed this through at Lego. You made a difference.

> 24 hourHad so much fun building this! Organized the pieces in two ice trays and then went to building. Lots of cool building techniques are used to build this great LEGO set that works very well as a display piece.
