This is a very good structured box. I think it’s somewhat expensive for what you’re getting, though. It can be installed in the wall, or you can surface mount it, which is what I did. There’s genuinely quite a few options here. The plastic itself is very, very sturdy - and ironically, perhaps too sturdy. The same attributes that make it so tough make the knockouts rather difficult to actually knock out. Someone posted a review of the box where he broke a piece of the plastic frame when knocking a spot out. The exact same thing happened to me in the same spot. I’ve seen many knockout ports that were nowhere near as hard to get out as these. It’s a real issue, but didn’t affect usability of the box. The same issue applies to the stud mounting on the side of the box. If you don’t need it, you can bend the plastic and take that off. However, there’s no way to do so cleanly, really. So there’s a couple of spots with jagged edges that I will trim down with a dreamer or multi tool at some point. If these were the only issues with the box, I’d rate individual aspects of this higher. My rating of four stars is rounded up, really. But they do not include any kind of mounting fasteners at all, which is kind of weak considering the price. They do include screws if you get a cover for it, but that’s it. What really sucks is the pricing of the “accessories”, some of which for sure should be included at this price. I was able to get by with Velcro ties, but you may not. My biggest piece of advice is to have some idea what you need in advance and price out any accessories you may need alongside this box. It will be hard later on to look at the whole price unless you’re prepared in advance.

My husband used this to hide our Samsung Frame TV box and DirecTV box BEHIND our TV in the wall (who wants to see cords?). Worked great.

Well, the box seems sturdy and wouldve hidden some wireless + wired equipment nicely for me, but the plan was to put it in a closet inside living space in the home and this thing reeks to high heaven of plasticizers and other VOCs. I let it spend a day in the sun to see if that would help, but it barely faded at all. The Mrs. is really sensitive to funny smells and this wouldve been banned from the house had I even made an attempt to install it. Its a shame, because the design is really nice, and less industrial than a metal cabinet or comm rack. I guess Ill be putting all the gear on a sheet of EPVC board and mounting it in the garage. The structured media centers going back to the Amazon Warehouse where I got it, like-new condition, and hopefully someone can give it a third attempt at life. Just too stanky for my home.

The panel looks good and the install was pretty straight forward. I ran my fiber modem and router from my attic into my laundry room for ease of access. I also ordered the trim piece separately which cleaned up the overall look.

I had outgrown my existing media structure in the house. Purchased this and very happy with the purchase. Cut out a larger hole to accommodate the bigger size, and installed it. Great quality and happy with the range and quality of all the accessories as well.

Great box, however the add on parts are very expensive.

I bought this to fit a bunch of equipment in my wall. I replaced an old small metal one. I had to cut my drywall longer to fit the size. I also bought the trim that can go around the edges. I put in a UPS, Modem/Router, punch down panel, a network switch and other misc. I couldn’t be more happier. There are vents in the side to let air in to keep your devices cool. Because it is made of hard plastic, it won’t conflict with WI-FI signals like a metal box will. I am very happy with mine and hope my photo might inspire some other projects.
