> 3 dayI have a 2015 hyundai sonata sport. Dealership quoted me over 400 dollars to have OEM hood struts replaced. Outrageous! I delayed replacing the struts because I didnt want to pay so much money. Did some digging online and bought this pair for only $40 bucks! SO GLAD I BOUGHT THESE FROM THIS COMPANY. Saved a ton of money. Super easy to install also. There are a million Youtube videos on how to do it, in case you dont know. Probably took me a total of 2 minutes to replace them, while someone held the hood. Not sure about the longevity, but for $40 bucks over $400, who cares. Haha.

Greater than one weekTook less then 5 minutes to remove and install two of these. The hardest part, was untangling the rope that I used to hold the hood up (I tied the ends to the garage door hangers and looped it thru the hood latch - just be careful and make sure it is secure).

Easy to InstallMost applications are quick and easy to install. Often times requiring nothing more then a flat headed tool to remove and replace. The hardest part is often finding someone to hold the Hatch or Hood while you swap them out. |
Insert a Flat Headed tool behind the U-Band.
Slightly Pull Back on the U-Band, allowing the claw to release the ball stud. Careful that you do not remove the U-band from the Support.
Place new support over the ball stud and press the ball socket over the ball stud.
Once this has been completed for all mounting points, carefully tug to ensure all ball sockets are secure on ball Stud.
