Marshall Acton III Bluetooth Home Speaker, Black

> 3 dayI really like this speaker design and sound wise. Still you definitely are buy in my for style. You can get better sounding speakers for the price and it has a couple negatives, It doesnt have a battery making it more likely to be used as a sound bar or hooked to a turntable yet the aux port is on the top rather than the back. In addition there are other Marshall speakers (some of which are discounted yet nearly identical older models) that are a far better value. Could see getting a Stanmore II which is bigger and better sounding or the nearly identical sized Kilburn than offers the convenience of battery power when you need. The moral of the story is that if you like the way Marshall speakers look there are lots of options.

> 3 day“Awesome” has become such a clichéd description nowadays that I make it a point to avoid using it. It is so overused that it has become meaningless. However, in the case of this speaker, I am going out of my way to describe it rightfully as awesome! We are using our Acton III in tandem with a Bluetooth turntable and the results are magnificent. Marshall has always been known for its superior speakers and this one features great sound, loud and clear, with the cleanest whispers to the most resounding booms. I’ve always placed Marshall just a notch below Bose when it comes to home music and sound but this speaker, at this price point, is the one to go with – impeccable audio and a value at under $300. Easy to set up, just plug it in and pair it with your device, and you’ll receive immediate sound superiority. The split sound is so wide that you’ll have to look twice to make sure you have just one speaker playing. Perfect for soft music lovers, pop fans, opera aficionados and hard core rock’n’rollers. Brilliantly black with gold plated switch and connections, it’s a beauty to behold. With the classic Marshall look and appeal and with state of the art Marshall sound, you can’t go wrong with the Acton III. Currently priced at $279.99 (at the time of this review) and with quick and safe Prime Delivery, this is an ultimate value that I can’t praise enough.

Greater than one weekFor a relatively compact speaker, the sound quality of this unit is excellent. It connected almost seamlessly with my phone via Bluetooth, and also with my computer. Its size is small enough that it can be placed almost anywhere, and its attractive enough that you neednt worry about where you put it.

> 3 dayWhat you need to know when considering this speaker, is that it is very much an indoor speaker. It is powered, not portable (i.e., no rechargeable battery) and no water resistance. It has a really nice, full, well rounded sound. I doubt bass fans could do any better. That is not to say that this speaker is all about bass, it just handles it better than most. It is a very powerful speaker for its size, which almost goes without saying, but there, I said it. It is not just loud but sounds good at high volumes and low. I particularly like that it has gain control which you do not see often in blue tooth speakers, and then typically in much more expensive speakers, so you can tune it to your liking if you do not like the tuning out of the box. However, Marshall does tuning out of the box well. We have... a lot of equipment. My husband is a recording musician, and I spent years in alternative radio. There is definitely music we have which has not sounded better. I was/ am surprised that it does not have aptx, and that is my only complaint, but I have not noticed a lot of loss in detail, and the speaker does have aux in, so the entire issue can be sidestepped. This is really one of the better speakers to listen to rock and roll. I think it is what Marshall does best, and they do it very well.

> 3 dayThe quality is still good, but it feels better than the previous generation. Because acton II sounds quality better than the acton III. there is no cable in it,the price is also more expensive lol. I like the two different ways of linking. More convenient and easy to bring it with me.

13-06-2025I like how easy it is to use. I like how it has that old Amp look. This unit has great sound. I like how the dial lights up Red for the different switches. This will be a addition to our back deck this year.

Greater than one weekThis is a good looking speaker. The build quality is pretty good. I am really loving the retro design. I personally think the black and gold colorway really makes it stand out from some other speakers that Ive had. The size is just right and fits perfectly on my desk. The sound quality is great. This speaker has a nice crystal clear sound. The treble and bass sound very clean and not muddy like some other speakers that Ive had. For its size this thing gets loud. I like that it has the EQ settings on top. It makes it easier to adjust the sound to the way that I like it. You can also adjust the sound in the app but I really dont use it. In my opinion the app is pretty basic and useless. Pairing it to my iPad was easy. It was also easy to connect it to my Alexa. So far I am enjoying this speaker. I like it so much that I ordered one for my living room. This is one speaker that I would definitely recommend.

> 3 dayHighest quality I’ve ever seen. And I’m picky. Design and build, materials, and sound reproduction are amazing. This is the way all speakers should be designed. Flawless set up and superb sound. Everything is intuitive and/or automatic. Never heard such sound fidelity in a compact design. Beautifully crafted and executed! Bravo, team!
