Mcglaughlin Oil Petrol-Gel Lubricant,White

Whats the frequency, Kenneth?
> 3 dayThe package and listing say its white. Its colorless and nearly transparent. Its also tacky, which I find annoying. Its nothing like the lube that came on the new meat slicer for which I purchased it. I suspect it will be a dust magnet, which is unfortunate for those of us who store a meat slicer for extended periods between uses. Didnt see a lot of other choices, but now Im looking more closely.

> 3 dayI bought a slicer and almost didnt buy any petrol-gel to keep it running. Im glad I went ahead a spent the extra money. The slicer keeps the luricant in place through the cleanings pretty well, but it does wear off over time. This stuff lasts a while since you dont have to use much of it, and it keeps me from ruining a new machine. If youre on the fence, Id buy it. It does what its supposed to do and its cheaper than regret.

> 3 dayGreat in freezer and refrigerator door and cabinet moving parts. I use it on car latches, it doesn’t get dirty like ordinary grease.

Greater than one weekAssuming that the lubricant inside is fine, the purchase was received quickly. The tube looked as though it had been dropped from a truck and then kicked around by pedestrians. Outward appearance is not necessary, but it does make one wonder. At any rate, I do have an affordable lubricant for my coffee maker.

> 3 dayI used this Petrol Gel to regrease my KitchenAid standing mixer and it worked perfectly! One tube did my whole mixer and after it was regreased and ran for about 5 minutes my KitchenAid sounded like a new machine! 5 stars from me!

> 3 dayReceived a beautiful tube of lube to be used in certain applications where some contact with food may occur. My use was for a water filtration system (O-rings). You dont need much, so this is a really large portion for one household, but almost as cheap as a small packet.

Greater than one weekI needed a food-safe lubricant for the brew group in my Saeco espresso machine. The usual sources charge several times what this lubricant cost for a far smaller tube. Given that the brew group needs lube only about every six months, this is probably a lifetime supply (mine or the espresso machine; not sure). On this basis, Id have to rate this product a best buy.
