My wife bought for me , these will not take 8 guage speaker wire as advertised now Ill have the hassle of a return. Why companies say things that arent true Ill never know. They do seem like decent quality for higher guage wires.

Wow, these are great! I bought some of these for my home-brew antenna projects for amateur radio. I wanted to be able to easily connect and disconnect various random-wire and balanced-line antennas to my amateur (ham) radio transceiver.

I’ve installed several home theaters and these are the best. The Deadbolt Design Banana Plugs have amazing pull strength and are 2nd fastest to install. The Strike Banana Plugs are a little faster to install but they don’t hold the cable nearly as good.

They banana plugs were easy to attach and are very effective and robust.

My purist homer theater installer is a believer in bare wire, but I have, more than once, had these little guys solve a mystery problem that turned out to be caused by bare wire. These are very easy to use and a great product.
