This stuff is fun. Super easy to use even for a beginner like me. Right out of the box I had a cool looking bruise just playing around with the different colors. There is also directions to help you out. Planning on using this for some zombie makeup.

This bruise wheel is great for basic sfx makeup use or for a Halloween costume. I bought this to do sfx makeup for a friends short film, and so far Ive had a great experience with it. The color applies smooth and blends well; the payoff could be a little bit stronger, but overall its really easy to layer the color to make it more opaque. Because these colors are cream based, they do smear a bit, and the staying power isnt the best. I recommend setting with either Mehron Colorstay powder or some regular translucent powder (e.l.f. makes a great one.) Before you use this product, you might want to wipe down the area youre applying it to with some rubbing alcohol or non-oil based makeup remover, as Ive noticed that having oils on your skin beforehand can cause the product to smear a bit. My only slight tick is that the cream color base can seem, at times, to sit on top of the skin, which can ruin the realistic effect youre going for, but with enough blending, thin layers, and a dusting of powder, this isnt a huge issue. If youre really worried about full realism, look into alcohol-activated dry pigments. Overall, Im very pleased with this product. Ive used other bruise wheels before and various other cream based makeups and this has some of the best color payoff and smoothest formula Ive seen so far. Works great when applied with a dry makeup sponge or brushes. This is the perfect product if youre looking for something a little easier to use than Ben Nyes bruise wheel or if youre staring a basic sfx makeup kit; for heavy-duty makeup, like for a theater production or prolonged photoshoot, I would recommend an alcohol-activated bruise palette. Still, this wheel great product to have on hand.

First time putting on makeup and it worked out great. Easy to use and looked real. Make sure to get the colorset powder to seal it.

I only use mehron products for sfx work and this is one of my absolute favorite wheels. Its easy to apply, easy to take off, and offers every color needed for realistic bruises. People usually think theyre real! Its not bad for beginners either as long as you look up bruise healing stages to make sure your colors are accurate for the bruise youre trying to replicate. Its also inexpensive for the quality.

Bought for a Halloween costume; needed to approximate disfigured skin. So far, I have only managed to make myself look like a burn victim, but thats my shortcoming rather than the make-ups. Will continue practicing. Would recommend, especially for the price. Container is a decent size and a little goes a surprisingly long way.

Bruise wheel is a staple in any professional face painting or special fx makeup kit. Many companies make a bruise wheel, injury wheel or bruise stack, but I have not found one comparable with Mehrons. While I am a fan of almost all their products, Bruise Wheel is by far my favorite. The cream based makeup is soft, silky and very highly pigmented. A little tap of your finger into the makeup pot is all you need to rub into the skin for a realistic bruising effect. It blends beautifully, and the colors meld together exactly the way I need them to. I have found that the makeup in other cream based bruise wheels and bruise stacks seems to be much firmer and harder, making it harder to apply and blend. Mehron Bruise Wheel has been my go-to bruise simulation makeup for nearly a decade.

Im not even remotely good at makeup/art, etc. and I legit looked like I had a black eye. My dad thought he was going to have to come have a talk with my boyfriend. The product just made it sooooo easy.

I opened the package and thought I would just play with it before hopping in the shower and could wash it off. Insanely easy. Start with red all over add blue and brown in the center and yellow around the outside. Make sure to use a good sponge also. Im so excited to use this on Halloween!

I thought this product had everything I needed for the right coloring when creating my zombie wounds. When mixing the colors, it does create that purple other people are complaining about. Otherwise, it’s no biggie. I didn’t need it. It’s worth the money! Creamy texture and pigment is fantastic.

Mehron for the win. Love this makeup. -Great pigment- Nice and bright. Perfect one brush strokes for designs. -Long lasting- Lasts longer on your face and I get way more use out of this one palette. Other paints run out while this is the gift that keeps on giving. -Best all around- Great for sensitive skin. Doesnt stain. Easy to clean up. Need I say more? Definitely recommend this to anyone looking to give a professional touch to your body and face painting.
