Melissa & Doug Colorful Fish Wooden Chunky Puzzle (8 pcs)

My kid got this as a birthday present. He is 2 and absolutely loves it. The bright colors and fun fish make for a puzzle just hard enough to keep him interested but not so hard he gives up. We can also work on colors with his older brother. Learning to match colors and shapes.

My daughter loves the fish. But the colors under the fish are a little off. The color under the red fish is supposed to be red, but it’s more of a red orange. Closer in color to the orange fish then the red one.

My almost-2 granddaughter loves this puzzle. She takes them all out and lines them up and counts them. And is learning colors as well. The size of the fish is great for little hands. The pieces are well-made and sturdy. The colors go through the fish, so nothing to chip off. My daughter-in-law teaches pre-schoolers, so I sent one for her classroom. She says the children love it and are taking turns to play with it. Thank you again Melissa and Doug for providing quality products that spark learning and creativity.

Fun way to teach colors! After taking the fish off the puzzle, I tell my son “Let’s put the fish back in the water!” Then we match each color fish to it’s corresponding place on the board. He likes to do it over and over again

Purchased this for my 23 month old son who’s currently in speech. After playing with the puzzle he said purple for the first time. I’m so happy with our purchase and it really is a fun puzzle for kids. Highly recommend!

I love love love this puzzle! My 21 month old was having trouble learning his colors so I purchased this in hopes he’d learn them. It definitely helped that they are fishes because he loves fish! It is very sturdy, I love the chunky pieces for his small hands & my son loves it as much as I do!

This does better if you spray a protective layer on it rather than not. Mine has gotten scuffed up a good bit but is still a great toy. Its great to teach colors, quantities, and easy to carry around. I fully intend to buy more similar puzzles from this company. I use mine as a material for speech therapy and it withstands being stood on, thrown, kicked, etc.

Its a great way for my son to practice identifying colors and matching the colors to their appropriate space. The color names are written in the appropriate space as well. This helps with reading and being able to connect the words to the colors.

Thick, sturdy puzzle! Just as expected. Great puzzle for littles! Great tool for learning!
