> 3 dayMelitta coffee filters are easy to use & keep coffee grounds contained making clean-up very efficient. The filters are thick enough, so the coffee when finished has no grounds in it. I place the coffee in the filter; then, I pour in the boiled, hot water. I walk away. When I want a cup of coffee, iced or hot, I either add ice cubes or microwave a cup of the coffee - if enough time has passed to make the coffee cool to room temperature. I store the remaining coffee in the refrigerator.

> 3 dayMy coffee maker is a 14 cup coffee maker that uses the cone style coffee filters. It is hard for me to find phone these coffee filters at local retailers. This is the 2nd time I have ordered from from this seller and have been pleased with both. They are healthier option for me who drinks all 14 cups of coffee almoat every morning with the occasional 12 cup day! Their large size Melitta brsnd ciffee fikter #6, allows me enjoy all 14-cups ground free, thankfully!

> 3 dayI dont know why #6 coffee filters are so hard to find. Stores seem to only have #4 and smaller. But if youre making a full liter or quart of reasonably strong coffee you really do want the larger #6 filter, assuming your funnel is large enough. With the #6 filter I have few or no clogging problems, it just works better for that quantity of coffee. When buying the #6 filters on Amazon I found it necessary to very carefully check the actual price per filter, since sellers bundle them in all different ways. This bundle of 4 ea. 40-count packages (total 160 filters) was the best deal that I saw at the time. These are genuine Melitta.

Greater than one weekWe use an electric hot pot (or a teakettle in the camper) and a Melitta filter funnel to make coffee directly into a thermos. Unlike K-cups which require power and generate waste, or a French Press which leaves you with grounds, this is a simple system. We compost the grounds so the only waste is the paper filter.

> 3 dayMelittas natural brown cone filters are an environmentally sound option for fans of filtered coffee. The filters themselves are compostable, and while unbleached filters dont brew a better cup of coffee, they are more environmentally friendly than white paper filters because they are manufactured without using bleach. (Paper is naturally brown and only turns white with bleach.)
