> 24 hourwe are impressed with the reliability of this plug. The plug is easy to pair, the app is stable and the plug integrates with IFTTT. We use it to ensure a space heater isnt on for more than 2 hours. So when we need heat, we push the button widget on any of our smartphones to turn on the space heater and reduce the fire hazard by not leaving it on too long. (the countdown feature alone is great) This plug is rated to handle a space heater (which is why we got it - pay attention to this - this has extra amps over other plugs!) We use another to schedule an air purifier & it works great. Soooo much better than the Sonoff we got and returned that was so difficult to pair and an app that just plain sucked. You can tell the Android is made by a team familiar with iOS. (not surprising since Meross makes a plug compatible with Homekit) (and to be clear, this item is compatible with *Google Home*!) I only wish this plug wasnt so cloud dependent - this is what stops us from investing heavily in the current generation of smart plugs. Despite the convenience of zero maintenance, local operation will be an absolute must in the future!

> 24 hourHave a variety of Meross smart products, they all perform very well. Setting them up can be a pain though but be patient

> 24 hourEasy-peasy to install using an app you download. Once installed it integrates seamlessly with Alexa and adds a lot of convenience operating lights and appliances. I’ve bought a lot of smart plugs over the years and these appear to be as well made and reliable as the others. Would recommend.

> 24 hourI thought these would connect to my HomeKit and be voice controlled like my Meross light bulbs. Alas, I missed the part about them not connecting. I have to control the outlets separately through the Meross app. Huge bummer. Otherwise they work fine.

> 24 hourAs of 4-Dec-2019 (iOS 13.1.3), The Meross App will not let you setup devices using iOS 13 -- it says it can, it thinks it can, the app will give you some workarounds for iOS 13 - but trust me, it does NOT work. The developer must repair this issue and do some more testing with iOS 13, focused on setting up devices from new - thats all there is to it. Unless you have access to another (earlier iOS Phone or Android) do not buy! I easily setup all four of these using iOS 12, and it works perfectly - VERY fast, VERY easy in iOS 12. Once the Smart Plugs are added to your account, you may then control them using the app on an iOS 13 device without any trouble. The issue appears related to the app knowing you have connected to the temporary wifi network the Smart Outlet provides; there seems to be some new feature in iOS 13 that this app does not know how to deal with properly, so it keeps insisting you are not connected to the temp meross network, when you indeed are (and can even load the web page for the device - btw, the default credentials are admin / admin) In the help of the app, you are instructed if youre using iOS 13 to wipe out your network settings to make the setup work -- yep, didnt work - it just erases your wifi networks - which is quite frustrating. Oh, and dont go trying to install this app on an old iPad, they dont make an app that will install on an iPad, so, unless you have access to another iPhone or iPod Touch prior to iOS 13, or an Android device, you wont be able to setup these devices. Once you have everything setup (which if you have iOS 12 is a breeze) everything works wonderfully. The app is very easy to understand, its not overly complex - its ideal for something like a Christmas tree timer. You can easily create a schedule to turn the outlet on/off based on a time, or Sunrise/Sunset. Firmware updates are fast and painless. The app supports iOS shortcuts / widgets, which is nice. There does not appear to be any HomeKit support for this device - I dont really care, but some might. When it is confirmed the iOS 13 issue is addressed, I will revise my review, until then, this is a serious defect.

> 24 hourThis plug works fine, their app works for setup (I deleted it after adding it to Google Home, but it seems nice for non-assistant operation of the outlet), and the 16A relay is higher power than most. I have unplugged them briefly and moved them around and they kept their setup. I have no complaints and they do the job of smart outlets that literally cost 3 times as much. I had a setup hiccup that I think is the source of 99.9% of the it wouldnt connect to wifi reviews; it wont work if your router uses the same SSID for 2.4GHz and 5Ghz. You have to use separate SSIDs and connect to the 2.4GHz one. Of course, all smart plugs only support 2.4GHz and you wouldnt want them crowding your 5GHz network anyway. The MediaTek chipset is not supported by 3rd party firmware like Tasmota (yet), but it is a superior chipset to the EPS variants other plugs use (and Tasmota supports). These do route all commands through Meross servers (like almost all smart devices do), but there is a small hack to make it look at a local server instead and there is increasing interest to get a 3rd party firmware up and running for them. The hack does not require opening the device, but does require running a mosquito server on your LAN all the time; I only recommend it for very security minded and tech savvy people.

> 24 hourUsing the Meross smart app the 1st unit installed exactly as described in the app as it walks you thru the installation. During a subsequent power loss the app could no longer connect remotely to turn the connected device ON/OFF. Pushing the power button on the side did turn the unit ON, but it would go into a loop of turning ON (click) then a few seconds later reboot(?) turning OFF then ON for a few seconds before rebooting again in a continuous loop. While the unit is ON the LED is solid green. Resetting is not as simple as described. You need to hold the power button in for 5sec while the unit is OFF. If it is in the ON/OFF loop it will remain OFF for less than 5sec. To get it out of the loop, you need to wait until the unit is ON (click and solid green LED) then intentionally press the power button momentarily to turn the unit OFF. While OFF, you can now hold the power button in for 5sec to initiate a reset. If done correctly, the LED will flash amber, ON/OFF after 5-10 seconds. The unit may also be powering the connected device ON/OFF at the same time... it is a little annoying with the relay clicking. Once it is flashing amber, you can attempt to start the installation/configuration steps from the beginning. During the configuration, it will prompt you for your home network WiFi name and p/w. At this point the unit will temporarily become a WiFI access point with a Meross name. Your phone will change WiFi networks to this and connect (likely pushing info into the unit). At this point the Meross app (or my Android OS) switches to WiFi settings to let me know the Meross WiFi network I am connected to has no Internet connectivity. Not clear what I am supposed to do here... if you wait a bit, the Meross WiFi network will disconnect and your phone should auto-connect back to the Internet on its own. The Meross app will finish and tell you your device has been installed and added to your home network. When the unit works, it works great. If you get stuck with the unit cycling in a loop, it can get very frustrating. I had three units plugged into different wall outlets around me trying to get one to reset. At one point all three were stuck in a loop turning ON/OFF with a rather loud clicking sound.
