> 3 daySaw an issue with AirBnB guests turning on the patio lights and leaving the lights on for the duration of their stay. Its a problem for me since this is such a huge waste of electricity and theres no need for the patio lights to be left on throughout the daytime. Bothered me so much to see that the lights were left on and I could do nothing about it. This product allows you to set a timer to turn off anything that is plugged into it. On my next visit to the AirBnb, I plugged the patio lights into this thing. Now I can remotely manually turn off the light using the app or, just set the timer to turn off at midnight automatically. You can even set multiple timer functions so lets say the group has a late night hangout on the patio, the lights turn off at midnight, they go turn it back on. You can have another OFF timer instructions at 2am or 3am and that will turn off the lights again!

> 3 dayIve had this outside for almost 2 straight years. I live in Kansas and it has maybe stopped working once, which was because my WiFi was having issues that day. It even fixed itself by resetting to the sunrise/sunset cycle the next day, so thats cool with me. Otherwise, coldest place on the planet one day? No issues. 100 degree heat wave, pouring rain, snow, nonstop high winds--no issues. It works great with the Google assistant or with the app, as I mostly needed some outside lights to turn on and off with the sun cycles. Ill definitely get another if I find myself needing one. The app sucks a bit to navigate though, but thats my only qualm.

Greater than one weekIve installed many wireless smart WiFi outlets. This was the first one made specifically for the outdoors and it set up correctly the 1st time using the Smart Life app. Working well so far! My main wish if I were to buy another one would be that have a smaller form factor (size). It would be super to have the entire unit fit into the weatherproof box.

> 3 dayObviously easyto install. Just plug in. NOTE it has the plug at a 45 degree so depending on your application it’s either great or a hassle. I have mine outside to run a set of string lights and fairly far from a wifi spot so time will tell if it loses signal. Setting up Bluetooth app is a breeze but took a few headscratching moments to use with Alexa. Once I figured out I had to enable a new skill it was very easy. So far so good. Will advise later if it loses connection but liking the price and construction as of day one!

> 3 dayI have 4 of these to remotely turn on roof and gutter deicers at my mountain cabin. Weather service says it snowing I turn them on from 200 miles away. Have worked great for the last year. It would be great if there was one with 2 outlets that could carry 20 Amp but happy with these .

> 3 dayI love that these plugs connect to my voice Alexa in my home. I actually bought a different plug when these were temporarily unavailable. I returned those and purchased more of these. Love them!

Greater than one weekThese days most Chinese products have little to no documentation. This product IS NOT that. It has excellent documentation and works exactly as documented. Well done. I was also pleased that this is rated for 15 amps. I have two of these with two shop air compressors (the kind you run air tools with). These compressors each pull 13 amps. Since these compressors run in my basement (with the lines plumbed up to my garage), I was worried about an air line breaking and the compressor(s) running indefinitely, overheating, and catching fire. The plan was to buy two of these, for each compressor, and be able to in effect turn the compressors off when I’m done. Works perfect. As a test I opened an air line and ran a compressor for about 30 mins (at the 13 amps), and the smart plug was not only not hot, it was completely cool. There was no indication 13 amps was running through it.

> 3 dayCouldn’t hook up directly to Alexa. Couldn’t hook up to google home. Got it hooked up to the Minoston app, but then Alexa couldn’t find it. Finally hooked up to smart life (not smart things) and then Alexa finally auto detected the device. I was literally seconds away from returning this. Instructions are terrible. At least it’s working now and I can control the plug via voice on Alexa.

> 3 dayIf you just want a simple switch that is very easy to use, this is it. Not nearly as complicated as other types I have owned.

> 3 dayThis outdoor smart plug was immediately discovered by my Smart Life app. It took me less than 5 minutes to get it completely set up with an automation. Slick!
