> 3 dayI now have three of these, and love that they just work. You just need to take care to keep the socket end out of any rain, otherwise it fills up with water. It paired easily with my ZWave network and remains connected even when quite far from the house. This has enabled me to put my pond on a schedule, and with additional automation turns the pump off when the water is low.

> 3 dayI use this to control an outdoor fountain. I have been using it for a few months now and it works flawlessly. It also reports energy usage which is great. They have a two outlet version but unfortunately they dont report energy usage. Hence, I need to look for a different brand/solution.

Greater than one weekNeeded an outdoor z-wave outlet to power a set of string lights. Naturally i looked for the cheapest, since everything z-wave is still expensive and came across this guy. Worked great using a generic driver in Hubitat, but ended up reaching out to support with a few issues i had and they sent me a link to their gethub page with their drivers. Fixed my problem.

Greater than one weekI have bought 2 of these MP22Z Z-Wave Outdoor Smart Plugs. I set up one of them and after it was added to Smartthings following the instructions the actual device page showed two question marks and a message which says “Couldnt get device status” see screen shots. I emailed the company and they were responsive. They were not very helpful, and after 6 emails over 2 hours I have given up and I am returning the two MP22Z Z-Wave Outdoor Smart Plugs. I do not recommend these for Smartthings use.

> 3 dayIt was easy to add this to my z-wave hub. Put my hub into add mode, press the button and it showed up. Its responsive and have been working well with the heavy rain that weve had.

11-06-2025I have a VeraPlus controller and this plug paired very easily. I have it controlling a pump on my dock. The button allows me to turn the power on and off manually. I also set up a scene that will automatically turn the power off after an hour.

> 3 dayIt was difficult to get it to pair initially. Took a LOT of attempts and I almost gave up. Once it did, it works great. But it shouldnt be that difficult.

> 3 dayThe manual on/off button works just fine, and thats where its consistency ends. The manual (available on their website) clearly says how to pair and reset the outlet, except its wrong. (Click the button 3x quickly to pair, click 2x then hold on the third press until it turns off to reset it) Once paired, I could only get the outlet to turn on or off via the SmartThings app maybe 10% of the time. The app has connectivity because it shows if the light turns on or off if I use the outlets button, but then Ill unplug it and it still thinks its connected. Returning, probably replacing with GEs Z-wave+ model
