12-06-2025I had a gauge that was made in China that I got with a tap set from a certain freight store. What a pain was it to use it. So, I thought I should just grow up and get something that adults use, lol.

15-06-2025Whats not to love? Mitutoyo is hard to beat, and it works for both SAE and Metric. I carry this in my tool kit to help identify fasteners when a quick visual doesnt always work, especially on custom hydraulic fittings.

> 3 daySpend the extra money to get a good one! I wasted a whole hour going back and forth trying to find out thread pitch on a bolt that ended up being 1.5. It was because my cheaper gauge was off! This is a quality gauge.

Greater than one weekThe Screw Pitch Gage is nice, much better than the one that came in the Tap and Die Set. It could be much nicer if it was made from stainless steel so that it wouldnt have to be packed in stinky oil. I like that it has both SAE and Metric sizes.

Greater than one weekVery high quality.Gauges are smooth and nicely finished but, that is Mitutoyo. I expect it from them unlike the cheap Chinese gauges.

> 3 dayDefinitely agree with other reviewers the seller should post a more accurate picture. This is the very finest, Mitutoyo quality, made in Japan - worth the extra money! Yes, you can buy cheap thread pitch gauges, but why would you? If you bothered enough to check the pitch, you bothered enough to do it with a great tool! Love the friction locking dials - they work very well!
