Munchkin Last Drop Silicone Toddler Bowl with Built-In Straw, Blue

> 24 hourThis silicone bowl, upon first look, is a great product. The sides are thick and durable; other silicone products weve had have been floppy or flimsy; this silicone is thick enough to provide very stiff sides. The straw seems really great, but the last drop design is actually somewhat of a detriment to me. If you look at the photo of the inside of the bowl, youll see that the straws vertical opening ends in a horizontal line at the bottom (which allows the child to suck out the very last bits easily) - however, this seems to make it impossible to clean. You cant see the very bottom, and the opening is smaller at the bottom than the top (which to me naturally means that some milk/food/etc. might be captured there). I dont think it would be a problem if you rinse and wash it immediately after use, but if the milk bowl got left in the sink until it dried, it would be very difficult to clean. We have a few bottles that came with tiny bottle brushes for the straws inside of bottles; one of those would work to clean it effectively if needed, but the bowl doesnt come with one. Again, the product is a great product overall and seems very durable, and the straw shouldnt be too difficult to keep clean if it is rinsed after using, but it would be difficult to clean if milk or something sticky dried inside.

> 24 hourReminds me of the straw bowls I used as a kid. Except this one is much easier to clean with a basic straw cleaner. I even use it occasionally!

> 24 hourPros: My kids love this bowl and actually drink their cereal milk. I actually will likely buy a few more since they fight over who is going to use it OR wait for the other to finish and ask me to wash it right away so someone else can use it (this could be viewed as a pro or a con). It has a nice weight to it so my 3 year old doesnt tip it over easily. Cons: It is not easy to clean. I have used the dishwasher and the silicone just does not seem to come clean for me. I hate hand washing things so this is a drawback for me. Even if it came clean in the dishwasher I would still feel like I need to use a straw brush on the spout part because I cant imagine that part is getting washed out well. Overall, my kids love this enough that I will likely buy more, but be prepared to handwash it with a tiny brush to get in the straw-hole.

> 24 hourMy grandsons both love eating soup and cereal, but either leave the broth/milk in the bowl, or make a mess trying to drink it from the bowl. This bowl has changed all that. They eat all their soup and cereal without nearly as much of a mess. The bowl is dishwasher and microwave safe. The straw is pretty easy to clean if you wash it in hot water right away. One thing I particularly like is that the bowl doesnt get hot in the microwave like most other toddler bowls. I can heat soup, mac n cheese, etc. directly in the bowl and they can touch the bowl without getting burned. I had to buy a second bowl because both of them refuse to use any other bowl. Well worth the money.

> 24 hourMy grandchildren used to drink their milk and would end up spilling it all over themselves. This is a great idea they don’t really have to tip the bowl to get to the milk.
