Ive had this water bottle for over six months now and I can completely and utterly attest to its strength and endurance. Ive dropped it countless times, down flights of stairs, on concrete, from a few inches to multiple feet and have NEVER had a single crack, dent, leak, or imperfection caused on this bottle. The image I have attached is one I have taken today, rather than when I bought the bottle six months ago in order to indicate just how well it has held up over time from moving twice (in and out for school) and in general through the busy life a young-adult has. The dollar bill is included in order to help indicate size. Any imperfection seen on the bottle is not an actual imperfection (near the top there are lines) but instead those are actually lines of water since I just drank from it. This water bottle helped me turn my life around in terms of water conumption. I was always less likely to drink water when I would finish my water bottle (for a normal 16 ounce one). Since this water bottle is over 32 ounces I have no problem staying hydrated and only have to fill up a couple times instead of once every hour.

It’s a bottle. I don’t know what more to say. This isn’t just any bottle though, it’s a bottle for a big man. If you are a little man/woman, it’s not for you. I’m a little man with a big body, not big enough mouth. Was running on treadmill and took a gulp too big. Started coughing, choking on the water that rushed to the back of my throat, didn’t look too good coughing my lungs out after drowning on water. People looked at me like I had the rona. The rona is no joke, but this water bottle is. Strictly for a big person with a big mouth. I would do it again though, just maybe next time when I am a bigger man.

32 oz. takes care of you for a long time. Very reliable seal when taking with you - doesnt leak. Have owned one for over 5 years, had to get an additional one - NO replacement bottle - to take with me for Pickleball. GREAT PRODUCT!

I have been using this brand basically my entire life and i love them. Its a simple design, suprisingly durable, and made in the USA baby! My old one had had the misfortune of being owned by me; i have dropped, scraped, thrown, sat on, lost in snow, , etc on it and my dog had gotten ahold of it and it was still just as functional as the day i got it. The best part(in my opinion) is i have never gotten that nasty plasticy taste like ya typically would with every other brand. The only thing i could make a fuss about is lack of color choices/customization and i wish they would make a line of tumblers because i prefer straws over gulping from the bottle. 11/10 recommend!

I absolutely love these Nalgene water bottles. Made from firm (just barely flexible) very clear plastic, this water bottle is ideal for the hydration conscious person. The bottle offers no flavor to the water added to it, cleans easy, and thanks to how clear it is, you can easily detect when it is time to clean it. I bought a 32oz/1000ml bottle with a slight dark grey tint, and a black cap with a measuring line on the side, that indicates ml and oz very clearly. Durability: This one I purchased was to replace the one Ive used daily for about 4 years. It finally got lost. Ive dropped this new one about one million times in month or so Ive had it. Once off my bike while I was riding down the street. No real markings to show for it and its still water tight. Lid: supper durable and screws tight easily and stays tight. I use the plastic strap that keeps it locked to the bottle as a sort of clip and link it to my backpack by way of clips all the time. Labeling: just like the picture only mine doesnt say everyday on it. I do use it daily, though. Production: Made in the USA all day. Keep the money in the US, keep the economy in the US. Recommendation: Definitely a good buy. Its really just a nice, good looking, boring water bottle that you can rely on for years to come.

    Greater than one week

Everywhere I look, someone is boasting about the popular classic 32 oz. Nalgene bottles. So I figured it was time for me to get one. I ordered the 32 oz. wide mouth in grey/black lid. PROS: + The bottle feels very nice in hand. + Cap has defined ridges on it for a positive grip when opening or closing. + I am not terribly rough with it so I cant say for durability for drops and falls. I imagine that at some point if I were careless enough I could break it but the material feels like thick quality plastic that I cant flex. Its very firm. + I havent run it through a dishwasher yet but cleaning by hand is a breeze because of the wide mouth. + Last but not least, it holds liquids well. CONS: None at the moment. Next I will get the same bottle but with the smaller opening. No fault of Nalgene but sometimes I dont want to feel like I am drinking from a bucket with the wide mouth opening. But this is a preference thing. I am definitely glad that I got one of these bottles finally to see why it is so popular. It holds the perfect amount of water for a lengthy car ride or a small exploratory hike. Definitely a good purchase. Was this review helpful? Please let me know. Thank you. EDIT on 5/23/19: So I have been using this bottle for a bit now and I do enjoy it. Recently, I made a major mistake. I filled the bottle all of the way up and capped it and then wanted to give it a cold shot so I put it in the freezer for 10 minutes. Well, I had gotten side tracked and left it in the freezer for over 24 hours. I didnt leave room for expansion during the freezing process. I didnt know what I would find.... I took it out and I noticed that it was bulging at the bottom. So basically when I stand it up, it teeters and rolls around and easily wants to tip over. I just left it out to acclimate and I was shocked that within 15 minutes as the ice began to melt, the bottom looked normal again. It is still thawing out but it stands up flat again and seems fine. Hopefully no permanent damage was done (i.e.- more fragile against a drop or fall) Gotta say that I was expecting to have to order another but Ill just hang on to this one for a while longer.

Stopped using my old Nalgene because of the BPA issues.....and thought Id find something better.....wrong. Tough bottle, simple twist to the left, glug glug, twist to the right to close - and done. I carried my old Nalgene with me through countless miles of backpacking, canoeing, sports, and other uses. It somehow never got lost. Expect this new Nalgene will be with me a really long time.

I carry this every day. This is the best water bottle that I have ever used. It has never leaked and I recommend this to everyone that asks about it for that reason. I am considering purchasing another as a back up. My Fiancee even bought one since I liked mine so much. She bought a smaller one that she can throw in her purse (it also has never leaked in her purse). Function: It serves its intended purpose. It holds water, and it holds it very well. It has never leaked on me. It does sweat, but I expected that. Due to my heavy use of it some of the lettering is coming off, although it is still legible. The stripped texture on the lid is very conductive to grip for tightening or removal. It is easier to wash than many bottles I have. I do have trouble fitting it into some cup holders, but I knew it was a larger bottle. Quality: It feels sturdy and looks sturdy. I have dropped it a few times in the house and on tile with no resulting cracks or marks. I have never dropped it on concrete though. I carry this bottle by the strap that holds the cap on. A few people have mentioned that it broke on them. I have not experienced this. I have clipped it up in my range bag before and it has held up well. The only thing that I want to get to complete this is some sort of insulated carrier for it. Nalgene has some proprietary ones and there are a few universal ones that I am looking into.

The original. The trailblazer. The Sir Edmund of water bottles. If you’re looking for a water bottle that will keep you well hydrated, hold up against bangs, bumps, and drops, and not leak a single drop ever, then the iconic 32-ounce wide mouth is your water bottle. There’s a reason why we haven’t changed its design in decades—because it works (extremely well).
