Greater than one weekMy drill sergeant used to say a sucking chest wound is natures way of saying youve been in a fire fight. MAN we trained hard to learn how to apply plastic cigarette package wrappers and/or MRE bags... that was decades ago. Now you got your ACS (Asherman), BCS (Bolin), HALO, Fox brand, and HyFins and... You hope youll never need one. Forever the boy scout, I carry a set of these in my range bag and another in a blowout kit for when Im hunting with friends. You never know. Cheap insurance.

> 3 dayIve used a couple of the larger Hyfin vents in real life. They work. These compact seals are cheap enough, and fit in very small ifak, yet theyre large enough for most rifle exit wounds, very sticky and do the job.
