> 24 hourI tried several less expensive variants that claimed to have real wooden bristles. Mostly what I got was shiny bristles, probably plastic, that can’t possibly redistribute natural oils from scalp toward length of hair shaft. This brush is effective & aesthetically pleasing. I initially discovered wooden bristles via Bass brush probably 20 yrs ago but their brushes have transitioned to bamboo base. The layer which holds bristles is the weakest point no matter which brand. It cracks & degrades over time resulting in bristles that pop out because of cracks. It’s possible to reinsert them but because of the underlying cracks the bristles repeatedly dislodge. I suppose that’s to be expected as everything degrades over time. My review is based on current effectiveness which is excellent. Time will tell about durability.

> 24 hourYes, its expensive. But its like daily treat to myself to use it. Brings joy to the heart of a busy Mom. Also, I try to buy products that are not made in China. This is a very beautiful and well made hairbrush.

> 24 hourAfter many attempts to change my shampoo and none of it making a difference, I finally got my hair to be frizz free with this brush! And my hair takes longer to get oily now than it did before. Its super shiny as well, and multiple ppl have commented on it. Very happy! I know this brush is a bit expensive compared to others out there, and Ill admit that I dont really know how this one compares to those, but it definently did amazing things for my hair in any case.

> 24 hourMy wife has had trouble with her curly hair her whole life, and when we came across the advertisement for the comb, we decided to try it. She was beside herself because she could comb her hair and not have to fight tangles. We realized then that the plastic combs cause static in her hair and that causes her hair to twist together and knot up. She was so happy with the comb she bought the brush as well. Great product!

> 24 hourOriginally had an oval brush by Tek which I bought for 35 dollars. Lost it during a trip and did not feel it was worth paying such a high price tag again. Decided I needed to look for a less expensive option. I bought the desert breeze brush 3 months ago for $24. I was happy to find that it does just as well as a Tek brush. The pins are smooth and give easily to prevent tugging on the hair, which was my main concern when buying this brush. Unlike the Tek brush this brush has a creme colored cushion which I actually ended up really liking because it stays looking cleaner than the Tek brush. With the Tek brush the black cushion accentuated every little piece of lint and dead skin cells on the brush. (This doesnt mean you shouldnt cleanse your brush often, keep your brush clean to prevent from distributing all the build up in your brush back into your hair) The attention to detail on the handle of the brush I received regarding consistent wood tones, smooth wooden finish, and engraving is not the best (and is my only reason for giving it 4 star) However, I was dissapointed to see that the price is going up as price was a big selling point for me. If the price is going up then I would expect the attention to detail to be improving as well. **Update** I used this brush for 2 years, it was my go to brush. I made the mistake of leaving the brush in the car for a whole 12 hours in Texas heat. Shortly after the cushion started to break down and crack.

> 24 hourThis is my favorite brush. I use it to dry my hair every morning. No static and it feels great to my scalp. No hair gets left behind in the brush. haven’t needed to clean it yet, but it looks like it would be super easy to clean.

> 24 hourCame in exactly as they have in the picture. It feels really good on my scalp. My hair is naturally very frizzy but this brush smooth it out and made it look healthy and shiny. For those saying its missing a pin, no its not. That small hole on the rubber is an air vent and its normal.

> 24 hour**Update 1/8/23: I notice my normally oily scalp feels and looks cleaner an extra day (usually have to wash every 2 days, been able to wash every 3 now) and scalp no longer gets tingly and itchy on day 2 like as before. Still in love with this brush!** Glides through my hair like butter. This is my first wooden bristle brush experience. I used to use plastic combs and I always thought my long fine hair was prone to difficult tangles, turns out I was just using the wrong brush! After using this brush I only seem to encounter minor tangles that my brush just glides through. It feels so good brushing with this cute brush
