Arrived new in the box, plugged it in and it does not power up at all. Tried to get a replacement or refund but nothing. Returns page doesn’t work and Amazon don’t help either. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE!

Turns out this hub doesnt support all POE devices - you would need a different model for that. I was unable to get it to power a TP-Link TA-WA801n wifi extender because, according to poat by a netgear tech on their support forum, it operates off a different standard. Another netgear poe hub called GS305PP is needed for that, i.e the same model number as this one but with an extra P on the end. <sigh>

Powering an IP security camera and works well. Very straight forward to set up.

Just perfect. I recently purchased some Access Points and a PoE Managed Switch and didnt want to use up uneccessary sockets. BOOM, enter the Netgear. I plugged this switch into the mains with the supplied power adaptor and plugged in my APs and PoE managed switch and VOILA, as if by magic, they were all alive and kicking. Uplink was from my main router (non-PoE) I mounted it under the stairs and it has lived there ever since, havent rebooted it once since installing. Now thats how you do it, well done Netgear :D

I bought this to fit in an outside gate controller box. The small size and decent output has allowed me to run a couple of cameras and a video doorbell out with only a single cable back into the house. I guess if youre looking at it you know the specs and benefits of the poe+ output.

Simple unmanaged POE switch which is exactly what I wanted to power a Cisco Access point and some Swann security cameras. Just out the box, Plug & Play.

Great little switch - plugged it in connected a couple of POE WAPS and they worked straight away. ad no issues with it for over a month of working. Thats all you can ask.

Great bit of Kit and unlike other switches has 4 POE ports and one to take the incoming ethernet to the router. I had to buy this one as when I brought the 8 port POE from NETGEAR to power my 8 Network PoE Cameras I was one port short. An error on my part.

This PoE switch is unmanaged, so there are no settings that reset to default creating IP address conflicts as occurs with the TP Link switches (dont buy these). After a power outage, this one immediately starts working again, providing power and network connectivity without any faff. And works perfectly the first time, right out of the box. And also costs less than the TP Link PoE router. Excellent for use with CCTV cameras and WiFi extenders.

The NETGEAR SOHO Ethernet Unmanaged Switches provide easy and affordable network connectivity to small offices and home offices. They are easy to use, reliable, and rugged with metal enclosures. Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) support is also available for supplying both power and data across a single CAT-5 ethernet cable to devices such as IP security cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and more. With these Plug and Play switches, you can quickly and easily expand your network connections to multiple devices, with no configuration required. Available with 5 to 48 ports, these switches also support energy saving technologies to help you save your power and money.
