> 24 hourI bought this to cool my Raspbery Pi 3. I am completely blown away by how quiet this fan is! It comes with multiple adapters and would easily connect to a lot of different pieces of hardware. It took my Pi from 42 C (I had previously added a heatsink) to 36 C as measured by vcgencmd measure_temp with the case open and no load on the CPU.

> 24 hourThese worked great in my Amcrest DVR. Mounting was done using cable ties and these fans have been working for a year with no problems. They are also a lot quieter than the original Amcrest DVR fans. I have heard Amcrest change the fans out with quieter ones but I can not guarantee that.

> 24 hourThe quality and thought these guys put into these fans is mind blowing (little pun there). The detail in the packaging alone, the inclusion of adapter and extension cables, heat shrink on cable cover ends, every detail considered, they really are proud of their fan products. And they should be. These are some quiet fans. I replaced three in a Niles multi-zone amplifier, which for some reason the manufacturer leaves running all the time. The factory fans made mildly annoying fan hum for the past 7 years until the hum turned to a droning whine. After reading the reviews I ordered 3 of these fans and installed them. These fans are unbelievablely quiet. 3 fans running and unless you put your ear right up to the equipment you wouldnt know that it is running. I wish I had known if these fans 7 years ago. Very nicely made product Noctua.

5V version
Many devices such as network or storage solutions use 5 volt 40mm fans. With the same operating voltage and the included OmniJoin adaptor set that makes it compatible with proprietary fan headers, the NF-A4x10 5V is ideal for replacing noisy or broken 5V 40mm fans.
Please Note: Being a 5V fan, the NF-A4x10 5V cannot be run at 12V and will be damaged when used with typical 12V power sources such as PC motherboard fan headers.
