Yes they are silent.. but yes they dont move any air!! might as well put a cheap fan and unhook the power cable. I bought them for use on my 1u NAS that had 2 40mm fans that were extremely noisy at full speed. I did throttle the stock fans down all the way via bios controls. The stock fans on the case move 4 times as much air at the lowest setting compared to the Noctua. If I would have left the Noctuas on my NAS my drives would have melted. This is all just fancy packaging and cables folks.

> 24 hourNot really that much quieter for the price. Very high quality, but with 4 of them side by side on low rpm, they still make a clearly audible hum with little airflow. Again, not sure there are any other fans that can do much better.

> 24 hourAmazing fan, has significantly quietened my wanhao duplicator i3+. The kit includes everything you need to plug it directly into your printer, but for neatness I trimmed the wires down, clipped the yellow wire off (for pwm - not needed on most printers), and re-crimped it to plug in directly to the hotend via a step-down voltage converter. It does move less air than the standard fan, so Im running it at 14 Volts, and it remains silent whilst pushing more air than the stock fan.

> 24 hourHabe diese Lüfter zum Umbau meines Kingroon 3D Druckers verwendet, dessen Lüfter ab Werk eher einem Düsentriebwerk ähneln. Seitdem hört man nur noch ein leichtes Surren und selbst das Netzteil ist lauter als der Drucker selbst. Als nächstes wird dann wohl der Lüfter dort mit einem Noctua ausgetauscht :)
