> 3 dayWorks great on a Pi 3 using OP25 to decode local Sheriff dispatch and stream to Broadcastify.

> 3 dayThe aluminum casing, power supply and the newer R820T2 tuner definitely keep the noise floor lower. The 0.5 PPM TCX Oscillator needs no frequency corrections at all in this RTL-SDR. This is my second radio but I will never buy the cheaper ones again and I may give away my older one and buy another SMArt V4 for use with my Ham It Up upconverter.

> 3 dayit does everything I need it to. frees up a two way radio that I typically use to monitor freqs. The high the freq you listen tot he hotter it gets. small CPU fan works well to solve that. not a complaint just a fact of life with electronics.

> 3 dayGreat, it works with HDSDR to decode what I want, e.g. HF signal via a Panadaptor, VHF FM radio (standalone), etc. Will explore to decode UHF band signal later...

> 3 dayIve purchased five of these over time. Only one died of natural causes. I believe it was heat, but it could have been due to my use case. Overall, works perfectly with little to no drift. Just buy it.

> 3 dayI thought this would be my entrance into the world of SDR, but it overheated easily. It would be operational for about 10 minutes or less before overheating and refusing to work. I was using Ubuntu and a Chromebook. My second occasion working with it, it just went kaput. I dreamed of setting it up in a cloth ice pack to reduce the heat, but alas, it never worked again on the Chromebook! So, I tried installing a different driver and attempted a Windows-based SDR platform on my desktop unit and... nothing. Its a paperweight now.

> 3 dayI am using 2 of these on a Raspberry Pi 4 running PiOS and it is working really well. I set it up with a group and no one had issues with this version of SDR. Would be nice if it came with some cheap starter antennas but I suppose people would complain then about not having the option to buy separate.
