NOW L-lysine 500 mg, 250 Capsules

Great to take if you get shingles.

We have an almost-two year old pup that recently contracted warts (thanks, dog park!). in her mouth and around her gum line. They were AWFUL looking and we were told by our vet that we would need to let her ride it out (as long as she was still eating/drinking regularly) so that she could build up antibodies to fight them off - otherwise there was the potential they could come back again. We did some research and found that Lysine could be a great way to help build up antibodies, and cut down on the recovery time (which ranges anywhere from one month to six months). When we received these, we opened the capsule and sprinkled one pill (500 MG) in her breakfast, and one pill during her nightly meal (we were using a wet food, so this was easier to make sure she didnt spit it out). Within five weeks, she was completely wart-clear, so we were so grateful to have come across this resource.

Guess its working. Dont see visible results.

I was sick of paying 17 bucks for the smallest tube Ive ever seen of Abreva to treat my cold sores. I needed another solution and I just searched and searched. Then this amino acid popped up and I gave it a shot. Im very glad I did. I take it ever single day. Ill take 1000 mg everyday and when days that I feel a cold sore coming or a big event Im nervous about is happening Ill take 2-3000 mg for 3 days straight. It works amazing. I would get cold sores one after the other after the other. Maybe one a month. Thats awful and it looks bad. I get maybe 3 a year now more like two and they last very very short amount of time. Now if I actually see a cold sore coming in I will using L lysine plus which is a very inexpensive cold sore medicine along with this. other than that the cold sores are so reduced since taking this that I cant recommend it enough. OH and dont buy the 1000 mg pill is like a horse pill and terrible to try to get down. Get these take two and thank me later.

This has done WONDERS for clearing up my skin! Im a 30 y/o female and have been dealing with some very persistent hormonal acne, particularly tiny white bumps/inflamed pores all over my face. Id tried everything for getting rid of it, short of taking oral medications, and had been to the dermatologist twice, which was no help. This is the ONLY thing that made any difference for me and now I want to tell everyone I know about it. So far so good, I bought it to help with acne and treat it a more natural way, I was on antibiotics for years and it would work on and off. So I did my research about supplements that directly help with skin and work from the inside, Im giving this a 4/5 starts because Ive only been on it for 2 weeks and my skin as been clearling up however, I cant directly say its from l-lysine. I believe it helps with in combination with some other vitamins Im taking

This works very well for us, keeps cold sores from developing or helps so much if they do. I am prone to shingles so taking this product everyday helps keep that under control. I gave 4 stars only because I ordered a bottle on Oct. 28 and have not received it, was not in the box with other items. Havent been successful in getting another sent so Im re-ordering as we dont want to be without it.

Good for your skin and immune system. If you get cold sores and such. A regimen of l-lysine is a must. I love this brand, as soon as I feel the tingle of a cold sore, I raise my dose and usually never get one, while also using a lysine based lip balm. Zinc and generally eating healthy and other good supplements for the immune system.

Ive been taking L-lysine once a day along with my vitamins for years now. These work great for keeping cold sores at bay, healing chapped lips, and helping me stay healthy. I really like this brand of L-lysine, it works very well. If Im out in the sun too long and my lips start feeling chapped I take three before bed and chapped lips are gone by morning. If I start feeling a cold sore coming in I take a few before bed and more often than not it will never show, or if it does I take one three times a day and it shortens the severity of the sore and heals it faster. Nice size easy open bottle too.

We have used L-Lysine for years at the first tingling of an on coming canker soar I take 2 or 3 and never come to a full soar, if I dont catch it right away it starts then gotta keep after the L-Lysine for a couple of days till its goes away it is also very good for your skin I am 72 and I get lots of compliments on my skin.
