I was involved deeply in preparing a legal document when OpenOffice crashed. It said it would recover a long ago version, not the one I just spent an hour on or more. THIS IS DEVASTATING. I have been working now for 16 hours straight. Do not buy this program until they have a SUCCESSFUL, dam good, SECURE RECOVERY PROCESS. It is not for IMPORTANT WORK. If it cant handle a lot of editing, it needs to be out of business. VERY VALUABLE HARD, COMPLEX, work is LOST. This has a DEVASTATING EFFECT. You work too hard to allow this to happen. Be SAFE. Dont purchase this - good effort, developers need to see more that is going on. LONG ASS NIGHT... LONNNNNNNNG ASS NIGHT.

Inexpensive and easy to install, but is not reliable. Locks up with Windows 11. Needs a quick patch.

I havent used it yet but it appears to be very much like Microsoft Office. Very easy to install and straight forward about each app. At this incredible price, I feel, its just what I need for my household! Thank you!

I now have a spreadsheet that I couldnt access on my Windows 10 without additional charges. I did need my daughters savvy to install but it has performed perfectly once installed. Has all the features I needed. Exceptional value.

Ive been using a free addition of Open Office 3.1 for years without problems. IMO Open Office is easy to use and full featured, comparable to its competitors. I use the draw, write and presentation applications. If you have a problem or issue, theres plenty help and online assistance. I didnt mind paying for the current version because Ive used previous versions of Open Office for years without cost. I do appreciate the free clip art and additional fonts. Open Office is inexpensive and performs well, comparable to other software applications. Dont be fooled because of the nominal cost. My computers utilize Windows 8 and 10. Open Office is compatible with Microsoft software.

Very easy to install in minutes. Takes a bit of getting used to as it is very much likes Microsoft Word and some things are different but I figured it out and like it a lot now!

It is described as easy to use, just as good as the other major brand, but as nerdy as I am, it just kept not working, keep looking
