Perfect!

The scale on the slide has changed and no longer matches images shown for this product. The 0.05 mm increments are no longer slightly longer than the 0.01mm increments - only the 0.1 mm increments are different length. This isnt a big deal, unless you have written your calibration software based on the older slide.

The scale jumps right out in the image and it looks very professional. It comes in a nice protective case as well.

Seller Amazon does themselves a disservice by not showing a clearer image of the calibration marks on this slide. The marks are photo-lithographed metal, probably sputtered onto the slide in a vacuum chamber similar to a semiconductor manufacturing process. The circle surrounding the 1.0 mm ruled line is about 3 mm in diameter and approximately 30-45 microns wide. The 1.0 mm ruled line is divided into major divisions of tenths, or 100 microns per major division. The major divisions are delineated by longest lines. Each major division is divided into two intermediate divisions by intermediate-length lines; so 50 microns per intermediate division. Each intermediate division is divided into five smallest divisions of 10 microns each. I estimate the line width delineating each small division to be about 2 microns wide; so were talking about very precision manufacturing for this calibration slide. Note that I cannot vouch for the absolute accuracy of the length of the full 1.0 mm graduated line. I can simply report that the full graduated line is divided very evenly and precisely into 100 small (~10 micron) divisions. Very impressed. The only negative that I have to report is that the ridges inside the plastic cover do not support the slide thickness very precisely. Consequently the slide has some play within the case when transported. Wrapping the slide back up in the thin paper in which it is originally packaged inside the plastic storage case solves that problem.

Top notch - excellent quality

Excellent price for a stage micrometer.

Its a little tricky to correctly position the sample to be able to see the calibrates, but it works

This is an inexpensive tool that will help you calculate your level of zoom. It does have a few erroneous specks around the scale but the scale itself was very clear.
