I didnt know the brand so I didnt have big expectations, but this device works perfectly. I was able to add it to HomeKit within 5 minutes from unboxing. Pleasantly surprised also that I can separately operate the two outlets.

Stopped working after a week. Don’t trust it.

eHomelife app is easy to use on the android phone. Easy to add the new plugs to the app. Works in the the home wi-fi and while outside the area.

This was super easy to set up and use. It works great on the apple home app. All you do is plug in the smart plug then go to your home app and in the upper right hand corner click the plus sign. Once that’s done go over to the plug and put your phone on camera and then put your phone up to the code that is on the plug. Once that is done they will synce together and your all set. Only takes a couple minutes. You can then go in to the home app and control each plug individually. That is awesome. I love being able to have control of the plug like that. If you have never tried one of these smart plugs then I highly recommend it. It is pretty awesome.

5 stars because each outlet is individually controlled, which I wasn’t expecting, which made this an even better value. Set up with the Homekit App was easy and seamless. Only been in place for 1 day so durability is TBD.

After two weeks my connection with HomeKit was lost. I tried everything to fix it for a week. I returned it in the end. I have a lot of Meross products of which only the lightbulbs never have issues.

I was looking for a controllable outlet to run some outdoor fountains and lights and decided to give this a try. This plug supports Apples Homekit automation which is a nifty feature that Ive been wanting to experiment with. Setup is easy, just scan the QR code on the side with the Home app and it registers. There doesnt seem to be a way to connect it to a WiFi network other than the one your phone is on - Homekit seems to assume people only have a single SSID which I guess is probably true for a lot of people, but unfortunately it isnt true for me. It only connects via 2.4GHz WiFi, similar to other IoT devices I have. In the Home app outlets are individually controllable and you can set up automations and scenes to control the device. This Refoss brand plug is actually just a rebranded Meross MSS620 which is how it identifies itself when connected to Homekit, and the manufacturer is identified as Chengdu Meross Technology Co, Ltd. According to my firewall the device is pretty innocuous as IoT devices go. It advertises itself to the local network via Bonjour, gets time from the North American NTP pool servers, and phones home periodically via MQTT (the IoT control protocol) to mqtt[dot]meross[dot]com. Its unclear whether MQTT is used for automated firmware updates or something else. Meross might have a way of remotely controlling these devices which is why I generally try to firewall these types of devices from my main network. However, with Homekit you need to have them on the same network as your iOS devices which makes securing them somewhat difficult. Ive not tested range or the IP44 waterproof rating. Given that the instructions basically say dont get them wet if the outlet seals arent in place I wouldnt bet that this is all that water resistant if youre actually using them so this gadget is going to go in a location where itll always stay dry. Assuming the range is adequate thisll work fine for controlling stuff on our patio when it comes time to install that stuff. Ill probably get a second one down the road.

I’ve added many home kit devices to my home. As soon as I added this my entire home automation devices became non responsive. Tried multiple times to contact customer support. There’s only an email and they take days to response and just say talk to the customer service for the other items. Your item isn’t working either!!! Stay away!!!

We use this outside to connect all the lights, it was nice to only have to push the button to turn off but disappointed that it wouldn’t connect to our iPhones so we wouldn’t have to go outside to turn off lights

This thing does not work. It connects to wifi at least according to the light on it but, the app will not detect or connect to it. Pick up any random rock off the ground. You now have something more functional than the app this thing comes with. The Apple home kit integration is lies as well. It connects to nothing. Do yourself a favor and get literally ANYTHING else or you’ll be right back here looking for something that actually works. Just like me.
