> 3 dayJust as described. Very happy. I switched back from aluminum to this magnesium anode because I saw much less degradation on the aluminum. I feel more degradation is better in this instance because the rod is sacrificial in order to preserve the water heater liner. My research on my 6 gallon Suburban brand listed both metal anodes as compatable. Ill pull it in 3 months and see.
