These work great until you get a smudge... then youll have to throw it away. You get them cheap online because they were discontinued as high defective rate I suppose.

I loved this when I first got it. I love the speed. However, as other reviewers have stated there are frequent white lines. My biggest complaint is I used it heavily the first 2 weeks I got it. Then it sat for several months and when I went to use it it wouldnt even turn on. Since the warranty is only 90 days its not covered by warranty. Regardless though, when I emailed the manufacture they couldnt even respond to my email. Poor product from a company with even poorer customer service. Save your money and dont buy.

I loved the fact of how compact this scanner is. Set up took about 10 minutes and that is because I actually read most of the manual. Unfortunately, I can not leave a good review because the scanner did not work properly. All of the photos that I scanned had approximately a 2 white line through the middle of them. After reading the troubleshooting section of the manual, I proceeded to clean and calibrate the scanner. This did not fix the problem. I called the 800 number and actually got through to tech support in under 5 minutes. After explaining to the tech the issue he told me that it appeared that I had a faulty scanner and that my only recourse would be to return or exchange the product. He said it would be quicker to send it back to amazon then to get one from the company directly. So now UPS is due to pick the product back up tomorrow. I was not able to exchange the scanner due to amazon policy, so I will be patiently awaiting my refund.

Nifty little item. I scanned all of my grandmothers recipes, including the handwritten ones. Love it!!

This is a pretty neat little gadget. Pretty much just follow the directions, then plug the power in. To scan, you just put the photo in, it takes it away. Converts it right to Jpg on the memory card. And, if you dont have a memory card reader you can plug it into the computer and download it directly. Only downside is a technical limitation - you cant scan and pull pictures off the card at the same time (probably a memory card limitation). Otherwise its a pretty neat gadget.

Weve already scanned in a few photos and have been pleased with the result. Ive read reviews of this product on other sites and those would suggest that the reviewer was either impatient or expected too much. This is an inexpensive scanner and it does well for the money. If you want very high quality then be prepared to spend a lot more. I have no complaints.

I just received this item today and just love it. It is lightning fast and absolutely tiny. It saves your pics immediately to a memory card or directly to your hard drive or digital photo frame (I have only tried the memory card method). I like that it works stand alone and you dont need hardward to use it, I couldnt find another photo scanner that worked this way. The downsides: (1) It only scans up to 1800 X 1200 (300 dpi) so clarity is not necessarily the best. Depending on your needs, this could be a bigger deal for you than for me- I was just looking for something to digitize old photos with to put on the computer rather than print them out. (2) It cant scan a picture bigger than 4 X 6, so giant photos would need another method. For me, what it lacks in quality and features, it more than makes up for with convenience and portability. Great item!

I was introduced to the Pandigital photo scanner by a friend who got one to scan old family photos. Considering the cost - very low - it does what its supposed to do quite nicely. Yes, a few photographs did show thin streak lines through the copy but only one really affected the copy and I will rescan that one after cleaning the photo and scanner for a retry. It is quick, quiet and easy to use. For what I need and want and at the price its just fine! So, Im happy with it.

I bought this to download pictues on my sisters memory card and it is a wonderful little product for that purpose. I had NO problem with white lines that I see some other people have had. LOve it!

I bought this to scan photos - of course. After approximately 30 photos, the scanner needs to be recalibrated. You are also supposed to be able to view the pics as scan them, but I cant. The File Explorer window CLOSES every time you scan. You have to go back in each time. I was waiting until after I scanned a batch at a time. After about 30 photos, you have to unplug, clean the machine, then calibrate it. Its a shame. I was looking forward to using this. Dont waste your money. Just use a regular document scanner instead.
