Great for making microwave bowl cozies.

This is THE batting to use for those sewing projects that can be used in the microwave such as potato bags and bowl cozies. Be sure to use 100% cotton fabric and thread with those projects. It’s exactly what I needed and I highly recommend it!

I bought this a few times to make bowl cozies. One layer of this batting is enough even though some patterns call for two layers.

I use this for microwave bowls and baked potato bags. I recommend more quilting than suggested because this has no scrim to hold it together. For these purposes, you need all cotton or natural thread and fabric so it won’t burn in the microwave, but still don’t recommend it for cooking more than a couple minutes.

It was easy to use.

My wife uses this for a sewing group she coordinates at a senior center. Its great for use in microwave pot holders because it has no scrim (which I learned are metallic threads and unsuitable for use in the microwave). With a number of experienced sewers and quilters in the group, there are no complaints about this product. Jerry

Its a good price and the seller got it to me very quickly! I would definitely buy from them again. I use these for my microwavable bowl koozie and my microwave potato cooker. You need to use 100% cotton for the fabric and 100% cotton for the thread so that nothing melts or catches on fire but makes an invaluable tool for your kitchen once completed.
